Ahh yung algorithm pala akala ko PCA is a UI library.

I think walang problema sa camera. I have a webcam capable ng 60fps but the after ipasok yung cascade classifier I always ended up having an average of ~10fps. According sa OpenCV forums problema talaga ang cascade classifier dahil mabagal sya mag search ng faces sa bawat frame.

There are tweaks that you can do sa code para bumilis gaya ng paggamit ng separate thread or mag drop ng frame na similar sa previous frame-- mas madaming work pero it will increase the performance.

Anung trainer ginagamit mo? I've tried all the available frontal face trainers na nasa data/haarcascades folder. I even created individual trainers para sa eyes/nose/mouth to have more control. But the results were the same. Yung bottleneck andun pa din sa classifier.

So I browsed around other projects until I came across this guy's site:

He has a few tricks up his sleeve to detect faces really fast by dropping unwanted frames, detecting only certain features using ROI, buffering+delay processing, threading.

He used several C++ libraries to accomplish the project smoothly.
