Hi, need some advise lang po. Medyo hindi ko kasi talaga core ang system administration kaso since Solo IT person ako sa company namin, halos lahat ng role sakop ko.
Scenarios:
1. Setup ng Internal Server. Dell PowerEdge R430 ang binili namin with VMware ESXi 6.5
Specs:

2. Though eto lang naman mga balak namin for that server as of now:
a. File Services Server
b. WSUS Server
c. Biometrics Server
3. Guest OS na balak namin i-install ay:
a. Windows Server 2012 Standard Edition 64-bit (1x)
b. Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise Edition 64-bit (1x)
4. Client OS for WSUS:
a. Windows Server 2012
b. Windows Server 2008 R2
c. Windows 10 Professional
d. Windows 7 Professional
5. Number of clients to manage ay minimum of 70 up to 100 workstations
6. Hindi naman kami magdeploy ng Active Directory, ayaw ng HQ namin (Which is nakakabwisit para sa akin dahil ang hirap at mag-isa lang ako mag-manage ng mga workstations and hindi pa naka vendor management
)
Questions:
1. Ano po ba mare-recommend nyong setup?
2. Enough na ba yung number ng Guest OS (Virtual Machines) na i-host ni vmware?
3. Automatically, kailangan ko i-setup ang WSUS sa Windows Server 2012 dahil naka Windows 10 kami at medyo confusing kapag sa Server 2008
4. Kaso gusto ko rin sana gamitin ang Server 2012 for File Services, okay lang ba na nasa iisang virtual machine si WSUS server at File Services Server?

Typically I would recommend to have an AD at least for centralized user authentication, but 70-100 workstations without an AD can work also. Medyo matrabaho lang pag dating sa configuration and troubleshooting.

Depende yan sa number ng OS/application na gusto mo patakbuhin

Preference mo is 2012, then you can go with 2012. Or even 2016. 2012 and 2012 wala masyado difference.

opinion:
1. recommended po tlga ang AD kung my win server ka.pwede mo po sabihin na ganyan ang proposal mo sa company kung bakit kailangan natin ng server "security pusposes".
2.enough naman po.pero sa HDD ewan ko lang po.kase need mo po mag raid dyan.tapos back up pa.
3.wag kana po mag win servere 2008 obsolete na po.i prefer win server 2012 r2 ok lng po siya gamitn.
4.tama po si sir toycar sa taas freenas ka nlng po kung file server lng nmn requirements.
Question po:
ano po gamit niyo dhcp server?at core router?or distribution?

Mga ka braders, pa advice naman ng magandang switch for Small/medium office network.
Balak po kasi e upgrade ko yung existing network namin into cat6a kasi meron kaming ilalagay na NVR 128 channels, at yung switch namin is di pa managed
at meron kaming 50-100 dekstop computers at 8 na departments.

I tatanong ko lang po, Free Upgraded po kasi ang OS Windows 10 namin sa Office (yung time na free pa ang upgrade from Win7 to Win10). From Win7 to Win10. Now may time na hindi kayang makuha sa reset si Win10 kaya i clean format ko ito. Unfortunately hindi tina tanggap ni Win10 ang Product key ni Win7. Possible pa kayang ma clean format ko sa Win10 using the Product key of Win7? May paraan po ba? Salamat po.

tapos My IP Sila binibigay yun yung ip na need para maconfig sa router
tapos po meron kameng branch na nka connect dito sa main mga 2km ang layo
using wifi satellite dish tapos may router din dun
tanong ko po
pano ko sila gagawing parang isang network
yung makikita ko yung computer nila dun
at makikita nila computer ko dito ?

Help naman po, pano po iremote pfsense sa different IP, meron kasi kaming 4 na lease line, nagcreate ako sa isang line namin sa virtual desktop, nilagyan ko ng openvpn, ito po ang sinunod ko https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7rQ-Tgt3L18 , connected ung openvpn sa wan kung san nakakonek ung pfsense, pero pano ko sia ikokonek sa different IP para maaccess ung webgui?
