That "ejection" vs Lyceum killed his MVP shot, however. If not for his ejection and damaging a gov't property by punching a locker room door, back-to-back MVP sana siya.

napanuod ko ung game ng SB at SSC kahapon.. ganda ng laban

lakas nga ni calvin pero antayin natin sa PBA kung magagawa pa nya un mga nagagawa nya sa NCAA

tapos pansin ko lang nasa momentum na San Beda biglang inupo ung center nila na egoy.. nakadunk pa naman

San Sebastian will miss one of their key pieces, gunner Ronald Pascual, in their semifinal match against Letran this Saturday, October 13, after he was called for a disqualifying foul in their second-round game against the San Beda Red Lions.

For this game, at least, it didn’t seem to bother the Stags too much as they won, 69-55, to clinch the second spot and a twice-to-beat advantage in the final four.

Pascual, one of the top three scorers for San Sebastian, was ejected at the 5:54 mark of the first period of their final game in the elimination round after the referee deemed that he threw a closed fist at San Beda’s Rome Dela Rosa.

“Box out play eh, naka-cross na ganyan ang arms ko sa may body with closed fist talaga,” Pascual explained. “Pero akala ng referee, nung nanggaling yung isang arm ko sa may bandang likod paharap, sumuntok ako.”

“Unfair yung tawag, ganoon talaga kami ni Rome pag sa match-up, i-bo-box out ko siya for the loose ball.”

Pascual reportedly shed some tears due to his frustrations about the early ejection but he dismissed the report.

“Hindi, hindi naman ako umiyak. Nakakalungkot lang dahil gusto ko talaga maglaro, at dahil wala na akong magawa, chi-ni-cheer ko na lang sila.”

“Ang dami din namin turnovers nung game. Gigil na ako nun dahil gusto ko talaga tumulong. Nung halftime, kinausap ko si Calvin (Abueva), sabi ko, siya nalang naiwan na titira talaga doon dahil takot tumira masyado sila (Michael) Juico at Jovit (Dela Cruz).”

With Pascual out for their first playoff game, the Stags will have their hands full against the Knights, a team they’ve failed to defeat in two meetings in the elimination round this season.

I'm gonna go for BASTE this year. It will be THE BEAST last NCAA year and this will be a big accomplishment not only for him but for the whole team if ever they win the championship. Yes its true that Letran defeated SSC-R twice but let's see if they can do that again. Although SBC finished strong this season, they can't seem to find a way to beat SSC-R. They were being beaten badly twice in a row by BASTE. I wanted to see SBC taking on Perpetual on the semi finals instead of JRU. Most of us knew the epic game happened between these two teams. I'm one of those hoping that there will be a part 2.

Nadulas yung bola sa kamay ni villarias. Very funny! Kawawa si coach vergel, di lang sya pati yung mga key players ng JRU puro graduating. Nate matute di masyadong pinalaro, naging ineffective kasi. Patalo talaga yung mabulac, di nakontrol sarili.

Sa tingin ko kaya na nga ngayon ng NCAA ang mga taga UAAP..di tulad dati ng tinatalo ng top 4- La salle ang champion na San Beda...dati un ha....
Pero ang lupit ng ssc-r nung tinalo nila sa championship ang ateneo sa PCCL....

Siguradong napakaganda ng pccl ngayon!...

Mapapanood mo naman siya sa AKTV13 malas lang kung mahina ang reception ng AKTV sa lugar niyo.

Grabe Perps sa wakas nakapasok din sila sa Final 4 parang panaginip lang ahhh kaso Beda naman makakalaban nila well Good luck na lang.... I'll go for Beda pa rin iba pa rin ang Championship composure nila pero ok din naman Letran para atleast bago mawala si Kevin Alas sa Knights ay makatikim naman siya ng Championship. Mukhang mapapalaban ang Stags sa Letran pag ang dalawang ito ang naglalaro grabe iyong crowd saka sobrang intense ng laban.

^AFAIK Kevin Alas still has 1 year of eligibility after this season. Si Cortes at 1 or 2 bench players lang ata ang mawawala sa kanila.

Ang San Beda mapapalaban rin. Wala silang go-to-guy ngayong taon. Dangerous din ang Altas ngayon c/o of Aric magic. Remember, nakaisa sila sa Beda sa 1st round, tapos sa 2nd round muntik na silang makahabol.

Ang Stags given na yan. Kahit wala si Pascual mamaya bec. of suspension, malakas pa rin sila. Tinambakan nila Beda sa 2nd rd. w/o Pascual. Abueva will be their focal point in their offense. Pero siyempre di papayag ang Knights na kilala bilang defensive-minded team.

Basta Letran-Baste talagang intense yan daming hard, unsportsman, technical foul tapos dalawang player pa ang suspended mamaya, haaayyy...can't wait sa game na ito. Basta ako I'll go for Letran vs Beda sa Finals tiyak hirap ang Beda dito dahil si Egoy at Amer lang ang focal point ng offense nila.

Hahaha... loko to si ninja paano naman ung mga team mate niya na gusto ding magchampion??

Tingin ko hihigpitan nila ang bantay kay Alas since anjan na si Pascual siya tatao kay Kevin pero maybe 20points pa din magagawa niya saka di biro din ung performance ni Mark Cruz( Younger brother ni Marvin Cruz) solid game din para sa kanya lalo na noong nabangko si Kevin dahil sa foul trouble, problema na din talaga ni Kevin ang foul trouble.

Saka ung depensa ni Racal kay Abueva dapat magawan iyon ng paraan ng Baste kung hindi yari sila. Basta excited na ako basta ang dalawang team na ito ang maglalaban tiyak physical game na naman ito. 3-0 na ang Letran against Stags
