Nokia Software Updater [DIY]

Meron kasi ako 5310 nokia XM galing US, kaso restricted sa Tmobile lang sya. Gusto ko update yung firmware nya kaso ang problema, ala ako sim ng tmobile eh required na may sim pag upgrade ka ng firmware using NSU. Tanong ko lang po, possible ba na magupgrade ng walang sim card?
 
available na po ba yung software update v.20 for Nokia 5800 dito sa Philippines? sa Europe pa lang daw kasi available.. I needed the update so I can use the front camera for still image capture.. tnx!
 
Wala bang disadvantages ang pag update ng FW?wala pa kasing 1month tong cp ko gusto ku sana e update.natAtakot aku we.(5130xm cp ko po)kung may nakaupdate na sa ganyang phone help me naman

Kung naka-lock sa T-Mobile ang unit mo bro...you need to DEBRAND it or known as Unlock. For this kailangan mo ng NSS Nemesis Service Suite although puede pa rin i-update yang unit mo based sa product code using NSU.

One of the disadanvtages of updating your FW is possibility you won't be bale to HACK your system kaya mahihirapan kang mag-install ng mga Unsigned applications.

Other thing, kapag nag-uupdate ng FW hindi 100% improvement ang nangyayari dito. Sometimes it compromises other features.

Suggestion ko lang - - - Kung wala ka naman nagiging prublema sa present FW mo...Huwag ka na munang mag-update! :D:
 
Ask ko lang, pag nag uupdate kaba ng phone mo,
ibig bang sabihin nun kahit may feature na hindi kaya
ng phone mo nung una ehh kaya na nya ngayun pag na update na sya?
I mean, for example. Di sya supported ng JSR-75 that means
di sya pede maka pag upload or download using java apps.
Pag na update naba phone mo sa newer firmware version
ibig bang sabihin madadag dagan yung features nya?

Zge yun lang paki answer and Long Live SymbianizerS!

dpende sa unit sir at sa app. Better read ung requirements nung app tapos kung mtch cla nung new firmware upgrade ka o kya kung may previous version ung app un muna gamitin mo sir.
 
May percentage po ba na masira ung phone pag nag update ka...

Hindi nakakasira ng mobile phone ang pag-upupdate! Infact, Nokia is encouraging users to do so periodically. But remember, updating of FW doesn't guarantee 100% Bug Free. Sometimes it compromises other features! :slap:

Kaya nga sabi namin dito....kung wala naman prublema ang present FW mo huwag ka ng mag-update! :salute:
 
post nyu naman kung kelan talaga ang release ng new firmware update ng 5610 xpressmusic
 
:weep: i need help! Nokia Updater wont seem to start up.. may error like "cant access the internet and firewall something.". please help me.. ive been trying to figure this out for hours already :(

Nobody knows kung kailan irerelease ang new FW for particular unit pero puede mong i-check from TIME to TIME...depende na rin sa iyo ito!

Ano ba Firewall na gamit mo? :noidea:

OFF mo muna or configure your setting to accept or grant NSU to access your internet!

Kung Windows Firewall gamit mo...punta ka Control Panel then open mo and set it to OFF! :salute:

Im really not a techy person kaya i dont know what firewall is really. i tried to figure it out and turned McAfee and windows firewalls off pero ayaw padin :(

i just simply want to update the firmware of my 5800 kasi mejo mabagal pag magrereply eh i just had this for 2 days.. do you think the update will help make the phone faster?

Try mo po tingnan intrnet explorer mo bk my pRoxy xa,.Tools tas options ts netw0rk stTings ata un,try mO Lang po.
 
sakin may available na fw.. (nokia 6280) kaso pag massstart ang sinasabi palagi not supported or biglaan magiging walang available update..
current fw: 3.81
latest fw: 6.10

baka may mg tips kayo kung pwede i-flash na lang

Naku bro! If your unit is China Phone....I wouldn't dare to use this NSU kasi officially for Nokia phones lang ito talaga! :slap:

Probably your latest FW is based on unit's Product Code kaya kahit may latest FW hindi uubra sa unit mo!

Try mo mag-inquire sa mga mobile tech natin dito Symbianize Cellphone Technician Thread to change your Product Code using NSS
