yun alam kong laptop na may ganyan feature ay sony vaio (battery care function software) na pwedeng i-limit yun percentage charging from 50% or 80% (default 100% or manually set) para mag extend un battery life (hindi actual hours ng usage) ng laptop.... bale pag naabot na yun 80%, di na yan mag charge para hindi uminit un battery kasi nakakasira yun init sa lithium batteries

Yung sakin ganyan din dati (Lenovo Y480). Then I found out na upon upgrading from Windows 7 to Windows 8 and now to windows 10, na-uninstall pala yung Lenovo Energy Management. By default kasi, naka Battery Protection Mode sya which means hanggang 50% lang yung allowable capacity ng battery.
Tas nung na-install ko yung Lenovo Energy Management, na configure ko to Battery Full-Charged Mode which means hanggang 100% na yung capacity ng batt. ^^
