I charge my powerbanks via wall outlet all the time, almost never via PC, mukhang OK lang naman.

Terms:
Amps - ito yun volume ng kuryente na dumadaloy. ito yung pinaka mahalaga in terms of charging time To and From the powerbanks. 0amp-5amps ang range ng USB ports.

Meron ako ibat ibang powerbank ngayon:
Code:
Asus PowerBank ABTU005 10050 mAh
  Output: 5V/ 2.5Amps
  Input 5V/ 2.0 Amps

Junction One mini power bank MY-005 2600 mAh
  Output 5V / 1Amps
  Input 5V / 2Amps

Xiaomi Mi Powerbank(hindi ko makita model no) 5200maH
  Output: 5V/ 2Amps
  Input: 5.1V/1.5amps

Xiaomi Mi Powerbank(hindi ko makita model no) 10000 mAh
   Output: 5V/ 2.1Amps
  Input: 5.1V/2amps

Ibig sabihin less amps more charging time.

So malaki talaga ang role ng AMPS both Input at Ouput charging

Ok sa output charging naman(charging of smartphones, tablets, gadgets etc.. via powerbank). Same concept except one rule. Tingnan nyo Input power capability ng gadget nyo.

Using my 2 powerbanks - Asus 10050 mAh 2.5Amps Ouput and Junction One 2600maH 1Amp Output against sa Zenfone 3 Max 4100 mAh 2amps Input:

Charge Basis: 9% of battery left
Charging time: 30 mins
Zenfone 3 Max wala syang Quick Charge feature katulad ng Zenfone 3 Deluxe pero to get around that limitation I have to enable Super saving mode sa settings or by simply charging it while it is off.
---------
I would like to disclaim din na karamihan ng smartphones ngayon eh pagdating on some point of percentage lets say 60% eh nagsslow down ang charging to preserve yung durability ng battery at ng device.
---------
Asus 10050mAh 2.5 Amps Output against 2Amps input of Zenfone 3 max(device off) - charging for 30 mins nasa 39% na sya.

Junction One 2600mAh 1Amp Output against 2Amps input of Zenfone 3 max(device off) - charging for 30 mins nasa 21%

So sa Asus zenpower ko nadagdagan ng 30% in 30 minutes running at 2Amps while sa Junction One nagbigay lamang ng 12% na capacity running at 1Amp.

Kalahati ng 2amp is 1amp. Madaling magassume na dapat kalahati ng 30% is 15% so dapat 15% din ang naibigay dapat ng Junction One pero 12% lang...good assumption pero may losses din po during transmission ng electricity hindi lahat eh naibibigay o nappunta sa device may nasasayang din lalo na if nagiinit yung device. The more na mainit yung device the more na maraming energy losses or nasasayang. Idagdag mo pa jan yung quality ng USB cable.

----------------------------------
Para sakin whatever brand bale wala sakin as long as it has atleast 2amps na Ouput at more than 1 amps na input. Pero kung 10000mAh ang power bank mahalaga sakin ang 2amps or more na input.

At higit sa lahat whenever I see these terms or words below sa packaging. malaki ang tiwala ko sakanila(it is a must buy). Kung ayaw nyo masunugan ng bahay, kotse or magkainjury or mamatay.

  • Temperature Resistance/Overheating Protection/JEITA Protection/Temperature Protection/Temperature Control
  • Protection from Short Circuit/ Short Circuit Protection
  • Reset Mechanism/Rest Protection/ Power Button / On-Off switch/
  • Input Overvoltage Protection/Output Overvoltage Protection
  • Protection from Incorrect Insertion/Input Reverse Direction Protection/Incorrect Polarity Protection
  • Protection from Output Overcurrent/ Output Overcurrent Protection/ Surge Protection/ electric surge Protection
  • Protection from Overcharge and Over-discharge/Smart-Switch/Power saving Feature
  • PTC Protective Circuits for the Cell/ Cell PTC Protection
  • Adapter Protection/Device protection/Charger protection

It should be atleast 4 of them present sa packaging, 6-9 mas better at recommended ko. Yung worries mo na baka sumabog check mo yung powerbank if may Overcharge Protection sya or power saving feature.

Yung question mo na kung ganito ba talaga katagal icharge si 20000mAh I already explained about Amps no it should be around 8 hours to 12 hours running on 2amps Input on average....Brand is good indicator din...some brands do indicate 2amps pero 1-1.5 lang pala if nimeasure mo using a measuring tool. I will go din sa trusted brand hindi sa manloloko(either no after sales na chinese brands or powerbanks na rebrands based on experience).

-------------------
Usapang USB - How it affects charging
-------------------

Ang USB ay may iba ibang version may 1.0, 1.1, 2.0, at ngayon 3.0 na. Forget 1.0 and 1.1 they are virtually non existing na or phase out na unless may may Pentium 4 ka pa na computer or feature phone na may USB it is likely na USB 1.1 pa lang yun.

In relation to powering devices - para lang ijump start ang device(DVD/ Hard drives/ powering on smartphones/ powering on USB Light)
---------------------
The USB 1.x and 2.0 specifications provide a 5 V supply on a single wire to power connected USB devices.
100 mA or 0.1 Amps in USB 2.0, and 150 mA or 0.15 Amps in USB 3.0.
A device may draw a maximum of 500 mA or 0.5Amps sa port in USB 2.0; 6 (900 mA) in USB 3.0.

In relation to charging
--------------------------

Thick wires tend to be better chargers than slim/flat and fashionable cables. USB cable na intended for charging mas better.

When charging smartphones/tablets using a laptop or computer take advantage of the USB version and yung capabilities nya. Again the cable is the issue.

When charging from a USB hub(kung nakokontian ka sa port ng computer/laptop mo) cheap hubs won't do. They usually cost around P1000+ for good brands like Transcend 4 port USB3.0 Hub

Using my Laptop's USB2.0 running at 1amp to charge yung Asus Zenpower 10050mAh ko 8AM - 4PM 3 out 4 bars pa lang.

Bottom line - it boils down to Amps of the charger against the Amps of the Input of powerbank and USB type and cables. If wallsocket na may USB port(common sa mga call center offices) directly ka nagchcharge check your wall socket baka 1amps lang..... or extension cord na may USB port check if 1Amp lang...so check yours
