Removing "PLDTMyDSL" prefix from wifi name (SSID) on PROLiNK H5004N.
How to remove "PLDTMyDSL" prefix from your WIFI router name (SSID), tested on PROLiNK H5004N.
NOTE: FOR PROLINK H5004N users only! Hindi po ito working sa mga Zyxel router. Please refrain from answering the poll kung di naman talaga Prolink yung router niyo!! Thanks!

PROLiNK H5004N, a Wireless-N router that comes with your PLDT myDSL plan.
Nung nag-apply ako ng myDSL plan pansin ko na yung libreng router ng PLDT (yung PROLiNK H5004N binigay saken) di mo basta2x matatanggal yung "PLDTMyDSL" sa wifi name niya, nakakainis!
Allowed SSID format ng router:
PLDTMyDSL+YourCustomName
Kaya ginawan ko 'to ng paraan. Share ko lang dito yung method:
1. Open Firefox.
2. Install Firebug add-on (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/firebug/)
2. Open the gateway address of your router: http://192.168.1.1/, type "adminpldt" for username, "1234567890" for the password.
3. Go to Wireless->Basic Settings.
4. Right-click the SSID textbox, then click "Inspect Element with Firebug".
5. Click Edit.
6. Here you can edit the HTML code for this text box. Remove the code indicated in the image (yung onkeyup="CheckSSID()" i-delete mo yun) then minimize the firebug panel to save changes.
7. You can now put any name for your WIFI without the "PLDTMyDSL" prefix. Click 'Apply Changes' to save your settings.
8. The router will reboot for few seconds, after which a small notification appears on the bottom part of the page. Click save to permanently apply your settings. You must do so or else your changes will be lost after you turn off and turn on your router. (In short, babalik sa dati yung settings ng router).
9. Finished! Enjoy your newly configured router!

OMG!! I just did it!! I have changed the name on my PLDTMyDSL wifi by following your instructions.. cant believe it!! been searching ways online and kept asking people on how to do it.. and now finally, i made it!! thanks much for your help!! really appreciate it.. more blessings for you and Godbless!!

another question po pano palitan yung router password from default ng pldt. kasi laging nagsasabi na new password do not match to confirm password eh..
