Valverde not resting Messi against Olympiacos will hurt them in the long run. That match is not of a value anyway as they will still maintain the lead even if Juventus wins (but they draw instead)

Suarez is so off this season, that knee is still bothering him. Dembele is surely missed and it's a good thing that he will come back once the crucial months come.

easy money is the bane of all modern sports these days. i saw it first sa PBA and then sa NBA. can't say i blame them with all the money coming in from global viewership and corporate sponsorship. too much money around. masama lang it encourages all the negative attitude sa current crop of players in major sports. like that ass kyrgios sa tennis. he embodies what is wrong in all of sports. eh first round pa nga lang naman ng major slams malaki na pera, why bother with all the physical and mental stress to push for the later stages.

sa football/soccer, buenas ka pag nasa good side ka ni perez, meaning player ka ng real madrid. perez seems to have all the trump cards in influencing the direction of club and international football. the way he screwed up argentina in the last world cup by manipulating di maria is still fresh in the minds of those who know what happened in the finals. sa ballon d' or, he's managed to get ronaldo on the way to level with messi in the total number of trophies, never mind the overall performance parameters.

sports nowadays is hastening the way we feel old, haha. i still remember when we could tune in to any sports event and see a crop of talented players whipping it all up with competition. now it's all hubris. kaya nangyayari ngayon i only turn up to see sports event if there's a genuine talent playing. gigi, messi, fed, nadal, djoker will be joining the ranks of dino relics sooner than later, haha. sa world e-games na lang ata may natitirang blossoming talents, hehe.

Arsenal is the current laughingstock in Premier League at the moment. Ozil is on his last year and there's no sign that they will renew him and Alexis Sanchez is rumored to be transferring to Manchester City (and reuniting with good ol' Pep)

Plus they're the only powerhouse team in EPL that is currently not in UCL.
