-Well, shinare ko lang dito guys, baka pag nilabas kasi to eh maging hit na smartphone ng sony, gawin niyo nalang official thread ito kapag marami na ang users nito, anyway, post any comment about this smartphone, at mga haka haka niyo

-sakin kasi, maganda siya, ang naging disadvantage lang sakin nito is ung non removable battery, kung ung mga digicam nga na water-proof eh natatanggal ang mmc at battery, ang mga cellphone pa kaya, hehe, ngaun about dun sa processor eh marami nagsasabi mahina na ung 1.5Ghz na quad core, dapat daw 1.7 or 1.8, pero kung sakin lang eh ok na ok na talaga eto.

so guys good news! we have a new exploit working for our Xperia devices!

i have successfully ported it for the devices i have/use... it was ported to android by hiikezoe but it was a HUGE pain trying to get every address involved... HUGE thanks to fi01 for helping out understand the whole process and giving a great walkthrough as to how to port new devices to it!


If you are facing issue of device rebooting when remounting /system partition then checkout the fix posted by @[NUT]



[ NOTE ]

this WILL WORK on both LOCKED & UNLOCKED BOOTLOADER DEVICES!

This exploit is VERY SPECIFIC to the customization and the kernel used! please check the "tested on" section to see on which device this exploit will work...

we are working to make this exploit more generic...

beginning from v13 now you only need to be on the corresponding firmware! any customization SHOULD work

[ how to root ]

just download the file, extract it completely using winzip/winrar
go to the folder where its extracted and execute "RUNME.bat"
read and follow the instructions on the screen!
REBOOT THE DEVICE AFTER THE SCRIPT HAS FINISHED EXECUTION!

Install CWM recovery for locked bootloader:

This will actually install both CWM and TWRP on your phone.
During bootup, paglabas ng Sony logo, hintayin umilaw ng [COLOR="Lime"]green [/COLOR]yung LED indicator at magvi-vibrate ito. 
Pindutin ang:
volume up = CWM
volume down = TWRP

Latest firmware version per customization (region/branding)
Updated by XDA regularly. Makikita nyo dito kung ano latest firmware version and SI number for each region, country and carrier if you want to change yours.

i'm looking forward to this as replacement for my Xperia S

pero may nabasa ako na hindi sabay na lalabas sa same country ang Z & ZL. region specific daw ang release nila ng 2 devices ang would not directly compete with each other. ang pag-asa na lang natin ay ang direct import ng mga favorite online sellers natin.

Sony Mobile held an Xperia Z and Xperia ZL launch event for South East Asia yesterday. We got confirmation of which handsets will launch in which country. The good news for those in Indonesia, Philippines, Singapore and Vietnam is that both the Xperia Z and Xperia ZL will be launching during Q1. Those in Malaysia will only be getting the Xperia Z.

Whilst the Xperia ZL feels better in the hand ergonomically, the Xperia Z feels like the more premium handset with its glass back. You can check out some of our hands-on photos below of each handset.

Update: We have been told that the Xperia ZL will indeed be heading to Malaysia after all.

Xperia Z and Xperia ZL availability in South East Asia

The Sony Xperia Z and Xperia ZL will be available in the following markets during Q1 2013. The following list highlights the exact configurations that will be available in each market.

Inside the box will include the Sony MH-EX300AP headset, charger, micro USB cable for charging, synchronisation and file transfer, and user documentation.

Sony to update the Xperia Z with Android 4.2 JB soon after launch

The Xperia Z is one of the hottest devices in January, but unfortunately runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, and not the latest available version of the Google OS (which is 4.2). Sony, however, is going to make things right 'soon after the launch' of its 5" smartphone and update the smartphone to the latest Android version.

This was confirmed by a Sony representative, who released the information in a recent Q&A session. When asked whether the Xperia Z will get Android 4.2, he said:

Xperia Z launches on JB 4.1, but will receive 4.2 shortly after launch. 
As always, we’ll share more info on this over the coming weeks on the blog.

So when will the Z launch? Sony hasn't officially confirmed this yet, but we've got some major UK retailers saying we can expect the device in March. However, Polish retailers have listed the device for a February launch. So, hopefully, if it launches by then, Sony will issue the 4.2 Jelly Bean update at the start of Q2.

I've heard that before... ang sabi nila last year pag-release ng Xperia S (Feb - March) lalabas daw ang ICS update by April. Lumabas yung update by 3rd week of June pa.

parang based sa initial info sa europe, aabot ng 34k ang converted price eh. kung ganun kamahal... medyo lay low muna ako. heheheh
