I have seen this tutorial on one of the PS Tutorial Websites i've joined and I would like to share it to you all especially sa mga tinatamad maghanap.

And I will name this tutorial: Old Metal Effect - Revised (Text Effect Tutorial)
Software used: Photoshop CS2 and latest
Level: ADVANCE

Concept: This is an interesting effect created using Adobe Photoshop where the metal is painted and the paint is vanished after some years. The bits and pieces of paint remained on the old metal. You need to carefully choose the color for this lesson. You have lots of scope for the choice of color and fonts. Keep on working with filters and image adjustment commands till you get realistic old metal effect of your own choice other than this.

1. Create new file with white background. Type the text.

2. Fill it with the color resembles to stone. Try the last row of color swatches.

3. Layer > Layer Style > Bevel & Emboss (depth 700 size 5 Chisel Hard)

4. Filter > Noise > Add Noise (Amount 16 Uniform Monochromatic) Say OK when asked for Rasterize.

5. Filter > Distort > Ocean Ripple (size:9 magnitude:9)
(Remember to keep Black as a background Color)

6. Layer > Layer Style > Drop Shadow, and there you go.

Picture Emboss
Software used: PS CS2 and latest
Level: Beginner

Concept: The lesson is designed using Adobe Photoshop. We have used selections, different combination of image editing tools and filters for most of the effects. Photoshop comes up with lots of the options and scope for experiment is much more than you can imagine. We wish to encourage you to use different options and tools to get better output. The lessons and techniques described need to be followed as a guideline to achieve the effect.


1. Open the photograph you want to use for the picture text emboss effect. Try to take vibrant or light colored image.

2. Type the text over the picture.

3. Create the duplicate layer for background and drag it over the text layer. The positions of the layers will be as bellow.

4. Select the top image layer
Layer > Create Clipping Mask

5. Select the text layer

6. Layer > Bevel & Emboss (Inner Bevel)

7. Check Drop Shadow also.

Heto ang gawa ko. Isinama ko na rin yung ginawa kong Safety LTI Logo dito sa amin nung November last year.

Concept: This is an interesting effect where we have selected two pictures and it will be placed in the text using Adobe Photoshop. This effect can be created using single wide picture over the text. We can move the picture after applying it to the text and bring whatever surface we want on the text. Here we have used eraser tool to mix the two pictures. You can also use advance masking technique for this purpose. Try to use thick font to get proper effect.

1. Create new file with desired size, 72 PPI and white background.
Keep black as foreground color.

2. Type the text.

3. We have used above image as 'Day' picture

4. We have used above image as 'Night' picture

5. Drag the night image on the file

6. Layer > Group with Previous (ctrl+G)

7. The Layer Palette will look like this. Name the layer 'Night'

8. Drag the day image on the file. Name the layer 'Day'

9. The Layer Palette will look like this

10. Drag the day below the night layer

11. Select night layer. Select eraser tool. Choose soft round brush (we used 65)

12. Erase the upper half of the night layer

13. Layer > Layer Style > Bevel & Emboss (outer bevel) + Drop Shadow

Image was also downloaded from the internet (also attached) para may Idea ang gustong gumawa nito.

boss, ayaw pong gumana sakin .. wala pong nangyayari eh .. baket po kaya??? sinunod ko naman po lahat .. nag hndi ko po magawa a ung brush na may ibat ibang kulay .... pag po pinindot ko na ung ctrl+g eh walang nangyayari .. baket po kaya ganun??

Mali na naman ang link mo tsong.

Ang pinipindot mo kasi (Ctrl+G) ay grouping at wala itong kinalaman sa brushes or pagpapalit ng kulay.

Search mo na lang sa Google ang tungkol sa brushes in Photoshop siguradong marami kang makikitang tutorials regarding sa brushes.

kay sir naruto po, just set foreground color to any other color na gusto mong maging kulay ng brush na gagamitin, ganun po ang gawin nyo sir
yung foreground color po ay nasa lower left part ng photoshop area natin, usually naka set to ng white
makikita nyo naman sa ilalim nun yung background color na usually ay naka set sa black
