Simple Animated Shine Tutorial

Ok, here's a little tut on making animated shines on text. Sa mga professionals at mababangis na sa PS probably know how to do this so this is for the PS noobs...

Anyways, let's start of by opening ang kursunada mong siggy or anything na gusto mong maging siggy na may animated shine.

Here's what I'll be using throughout the tutorial:
2m665qw.jpg

Note: All the text that is bold and underlined is links to images explaining what and where they are.

1. First, create a new layer over whatever you want the shine do be on and name it "shine". To create the shine, select your new layer then set your foreground to white and background to black. Now take out the gradient tool and select the gradient editor and set it to "foreground to transparent".

2. Now on your "shine" layer, select the polygonal lasso tool and make a selection like this:

3. Using the gradient tool, make something like this:
gradienttool5ij.jpg

4. Now select the layer called "shine" and Ctrl click on the layer you want the shine to go on and create a layer mask on it. Click on the little chain next to the layer it will unlink from the mask so you can move the shine without moving the layer mask else.

5. Now to animate the shine, click on the button which jumps you to image ready.

6. In Imageready, move the "shine" layer all the way to the left of the text so it will not be visible on the text.

7. Create a new frame.

8. Now with the new frame selected, move your "shine" layer all the way to the right of the text.

9. Click on the tween button and set it to this:
2zhedew.jpg

10. Now go to File > Save Optimized As... and call it whatever you want. Must be saved as a *.Gif image to be animated, and huwag kalimutan ang animation niya ay Forever not in Once sequence lang kundi ay isang beses lang siya mag-a animate.

Here is my final product:

******************************************************
NOTE: Ang animation speed ay depende nga pala sa dami ng tween or frames na nilagay ninyo - the more frames, the slower the speed ng shine like my signature below, ang ginawa ko ay less lang ang frames kaya mabilis.

Iba naman ito:

And as for my Avatar naman sa itaas, same na rin ang procedure na ginawa ko. Just select the area na lalagyan mo ng animation, just start on the Step 2 until you obtained the shiny effect.

Ang delay naman sa last frame ay depende naman sa timing na ilalagay mo (ex. 5 secs. delay then back sa starting position) or, kapag tuluy-tuloy naman ang animation, lahat ng frames ay naka set sa no-delay or zero seconds like the sample ng finished product of my tutorial.

Puwede kang gumawa o maglagay ng Snow Effect to an exsiting picture and it just takes few minutes to do. (kahit wala ka sa mga bansang umuulan ng snow):D

with every new layer add 1% more amount (for expamle layer 1- 60% layer 2- 61 % layer 3 62% etc)
Then use Motion Blur tool -Filter/Blur/Motion Blur.. Setting:
Angle: 80

3. On each layer with "rain" we use Blending mode on screen like this:

4. We now switch to Image Ready Program.
5. Turn off the layer placed and we turn off the visibility of the layers with "rain" and leave only the background and layer 1

6. In the Animation table, duplicate the first layer..

Ulit-ulitin ang steps 5 and 6 ng ilang ulit (depende sa dami ng rain showers na kursunada mo), optimize save it and its ready
