DISCLAIMER: This is a brief step-by-step tutorial. Expect long posts. No flame/Trolling will be accommodated. For admin, feel free to delete if repost already. This will be my first time to post a tutorial here in symbianize.com so please be patient in understanding this article. This Thread is strictly about USB Multiboot, please avoid inserting other methods of reformating, avoid inserting other topics like dual boot or dual OS. Thanks..


OVERVIEW
This tutorial is about how to create a bootable USB with more than one Operating System or Distribution installer.
In this case, i will be demonstrating how to create a bootable USB with 2 OS(Win7 and WinXP) installer + 1 tool(hiren).
Thus, it won't be limited only on what you will see in this tutorial.
Bootable USB.



CREATING MULTI BOOT USB USING YUMI Multiboot USB Creator
TOOLS NEEDED
YUMI Multiboot USB Creator
WINXP .iso installer
Your WIN7 installer
Hiren version 15.x
MobaLiveCD - for testing Bootable USB
Blank USB - size depends on number of OS/Distribution to be installed. I Will be using 8GB in this tutorial.

Procedure:

First, we need to format USB > NTFS File System.

then, run YUMI and select your USB Drive, in my case, it's drive J:

Select Distribution you want to install, lets choose WinXP for example:

Click browse and locate your .iso installer then click CREATE.

if this message prompts, just click yes, it is just a summary:

then it will start copying several files, but dont be alarmed. it's part of it.

and when it is finished, just click NEXT

then it will ask you if you want to add another distribution or another OS installer. You can choose NO and just add another later but i will be choosing YES and add a Windows 7 OEM Installer. Later, i will show you how to add another OS or tool without clicking the YES button.

Now let's add a Windows 7, same procedure but choose Windows 7 and browse for your win7.iso installer.

Same approach, but you will see different pop up windows

When it's complete, just click next and then this window will appear, just click finish. Done, we now have a 2-in-1 bootable USB with Win7 and WinXP installer.

Now, let's test. Open MobaLive CD and click RUN THE LIVEUSB and locate your usb, in this demo, it's drive J:

Testing
We now have a 2-in-1 Bootable USB with Win7+WinXP.
Directly boot ISO or Windows XP -> select to boot WinXP installer
Other Operating System or tools -> select to boot Win7 or other Distri/tool

Now lets add another tool in the USB which is Hiren's Boot CD 15.0
Same procedure, open YUMI and select Hiren Boot CD 15.X.

Again, same approach, just wait 'till it is finished and once it is finished, just click next and click finish. We now have 3-in-1 Bootable USB

OUTPUT
Now let's test the installer.
Let's run Hiren.
1st

then choose hiren boot cd 15.X

Success!

Lets try Windows 7 OEM version.
1st

then choose windows vista/7/8

Success!

Now let's run Windows XP. Look! It has 3 choices, it's 100% NORMAL.

** Just select the first option to install XP, when XP installation reached the point where it restarts, just let it be,
boot again USB BUT then choose the second option to continue the installation. You might not be needing the 3rd option, but it just sits there in case you needed.



And That's it! We Successfully created a 3-in-1 Bootable USB. If we wish to add another distribution or OS or tool, just open YUMI and choose the OS or tool to be added and ADD ANYTIME! as long as your USB have enough space. Good luck.

UPDATE

an alternative way to create a MultiOS or MultiBoot USB.

Pros:
All in one installer
Easy to use
Easy to carry anywhere
Fast installatio
In this part, we will be using our very old WinSetupfromUSB!
Cons:
Cannot install two same Distribution(ex. 2 XP, 2 Win7)
Cannot install Win7 + Win8 (haven't tried yet)
Cannot install Win7-32bit + Win7-64bit, better yet, use OEM version.
*Cannot add another OS/Tool. You need to go back from the start to add another.

tools needed:
Poweriso - included in zip
WinsetupfromUSB version 1-0-beta7 - included in zip
MobaLiveCD - included in zip
(note: i do not own the tools, i jsut downloaded it somewhere i cant remember)

PLEASE DO NOT REMOVE USB DURING INSTALLATION.

oo pwede basta walang win7 kang ilalagay. kung windows 8 lang ilalagay mo pwede na 4GB usb.

hindi pwede. kelangan separate yung isa. pwede mo gawin win7+winXP+hiren+ubuntu+etc. or pwede rin win8 basta aalisin mo yung win7. pwede rin naman isang OS lang kung gusto mo pero 4GB lang need mo kung Win7 ilalagay mo. 1GB kung XP. Depende sa size.

ah sa usb bawal kasama ang win 8 dpat win 7 at xp lang ang mag kasama. meron kasi ako 8gig na usb dito

wala pa kasi ako nakikita na USB Installer na pwede magkasama win8 at win7. yaan nyo pag may nakita ako update ko agad dito.

take note di pwede magkakasama ang ff:

vista/7/8/2008server pero wala naman siguro maglalagay pa ng vista

xp/2003server/2000

thanks sir ^_^ nag install ako ng win 8 yun error failed. Retake Part 2 baka may mali lng. kailangan ba naka lagay sa usb bago ko sya gamitin?? oh kailangan ko muna gawing bootable usb then tsaka ako mag lagay ng new os dual os kasi gagawin ko
