Good day po mga ka-Symbianize. First share ko po sana magustuhan nyo.

Nabibitin ka ba sa resolution ng netbook mo na 1024 x 600 lang?
Di makabukas ng ibang games/applications kasi required na mas mataas ang resolution?

Eto na po ang solusyon! Bale may two ways po

first way (via regedit) :

~> Run 'regedit'

~> Punta po sa pinakataas, sa 'Computer'

~> Click 'Edit' then click 'Find'
~> Find “Display1_DownScalingSupported”

~> Pag nakita nyo na po pakichange yung value from '0' to '1'

~> Restart your netbook and enjoy your new resolution!

graphics driver po yan ng intel, install nyo na lang po tapos restart nyo po ang netbook nyo.

My sister has ASUS 1001PX Netbook with Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit installed and Intel GMA 3150 for Mobile as display adaptor ... I tried the registry edit and it works!

**some applications, most of them are games, video editor and such, needs higher resolution than the default one in Netbooks for them
to be displayed properly and this tweak is the solution!
**You can adjust screen resolution anytime

[downside]
**fonts, icons etc. are smaller and hence, harder to see

SOLUTION: Adjust the font size and make the icons larger according to your likings

**To apply this tweak easily, download and apply this:
To increase Screen Resolution

3. Di ko mahanap yung registry key!!
[Answer & Solution]

**I believe the reason for not being able to find the location of the registry key is that
1) you're using a different Operating System;
2) Manufacturer's choice(?)
3) You're searching in the wrong registry hive or folder

**How to solve:
1) Use Registry Search Function! How? - Open your Regedit with Administrative previledge, press "Ctrl+F" then paste and find "Display1_DownScalingSupported"

4. I applied this tweak but nothing happens!
[Solution]
In win 7, there are more than one location where "Display1_DownScalingSupported" keys be found:

try to change the value of first 3 "Display1_DownScalingSupported" keys from "0" to "1". Then reboot.

Note: Do system restore first. Do it at your own risk!


5. How to revert the changes?

1. Use system restore
2. Use this to restore native netbook resolution:

[TIPS & Note]

**You can change your screen resolution anytime you want, from the highest (1152 x 864) to lowest (800x600) or back to the default one (1024 x 600), using right-click menu in your desktop!

**Just use higher screen resolution when you have to, if not needed then just use the default one

gumana po sa inyo? liliit din po yan kasi tinaasan po yung resolution, malaking tulong na din po yan sa mga netbook users na nasisikipan sa mga monitors nila

yes, ang ginagawa lang naman ng tweak na to is magdadagdag sya ng choices sa menu kung san pinapalitan yung resolution sa windows 7

kung normally eh 1024 x 600 at 800 x 600 lang ang choices mo, magiging ganto sya:

madadagdagan ng dalawang bagong choices, bale ang downside nya is magiging maliit yung mga icons and fonts nyo dahil resolution lang naman ang napalitan at hindi ang monitor nyo
adjust na lang natin yung mga fonts kung naliitan kayo

Success!!! recommended for those who have same problem as mine. pero by the way matanong lang ts, di kaya to makasisira ng netbook since pinipilit nitong paganahin ang netbook at higher resolution? Once kasi nagbigay ng warning ang netbook about permance. di ko na matandaan kung ano ang sinasabi.

^Actually, bago ko po sya shinare dito eh ilang months ko na din pong gamit yan. And wala naman pong nangyayaring masama sa netbook ko, same as before pa rin. Tsaka sa lahat ng nabasa ko about this, wala namang mga negative so far, so i guess this is 101% safe.
