Now, this tip will be very helpful for those who frequently install windows xp operating system.
Normally OS installation takes around 40 minutes to complete, but through this trick you can now save 10-15 minutes.
This simple tricks goes this way:

1. Boot through Windows XP/7/8 DVD.

2. After all the files are completely loaded, you get the option to select the partition. Select “c”.

3. Now Format the partition, whether it is normal or quick with NTFS or FAT
4. Once the formatting is completed, All the setup files required for installation are copied. Restart your system by pressing Enter. Now, here begins the Simple trick to save 10-15 minutes.

5. After rebooting, you get a screen where it takes 40 minutes to complete or finalize the OS installation.

6. Now, Press SHIFT + F10 Key -> This opens command prompt.

7. Enter “Taskmgr” at the command prompt window. This will open Task Manager.

8. Click the Process Tab, here we find a process called Setup.exe -> Right Click on Setup.exe -> Set Priority -> Select High or Above Normal.
Initially it will be Normal.

That's it, no more work to do. Relax your self and see how fast the installation process completes.

Feedbacks:

boot from cd...
after magload, hit ko agad shift+f10

Re: [TUT] Install Windows XP Operating System in less than 15 minutes

1. Use quick format instead of the format normally only if you are sure your disk is clean, by clean I mean without errors or bad sectors.

2. I use a streamline and lean windows XP, (usually performance edition which is about 190mb burned to a cd). Using this type of windows XP, I'm able to install in under 10minutes from bootup to restart to windows itself. :)

streamlined, syempre ung merong tweaks. :)

Having an original CD, then modifying the contents and burning on a new CD would still be the same (considering you still used the same key and didn't modify any other version references. :)

Try ko iupload later tonight, nasa office kasi ako. Nasa bahay ung ISO. Its very slip XP installation, just did an installation on a pc with specs:

Intel E4400 2.0Ghz
Intel Mobo (Forgot model)
2GB RAM
80GB IDE HD (note, ide pa to ah)

Installed it from a USB

How long it took?

Bootup (around 15 seconds into the usb)
Selecting which drive to format and install to (used quick format 5 seconds)
Quick format (around 10 seconds)
Copying of files (around 2 minutes)
Reboot (15 seconds)
Start and finish the streamlined setup (about 10 minutes)
Reboot (15 seconds)
Get into windows, enter credentials and other settings (about 40 seconds)
<<<<DONE>>>>

so total of? Hope to post it in the PC Apps, it has updates for last 2008 pa nga lang. Walang drivers, generic lang, so you'll still need the CD or Drivers of the Mobo, No Office with it, just firefox. :)
