Puwede po, you can do this either via the Terminal, or via editing the grub.cfg file sa GEdit...or kung hindi ka pa sanay, meron ding GUI-based app para diyan ("point-and-click" with the mouse)...may tutorial tayo sa Page 1 about this.
Yung "different partition"...not sure kung ito ang ibig mong sabihin, pero you can install GRUB2 in its own partition. Purpose nito ay para maiwasan ang typical problem na "GRUB Rescue" prompt tuwing dine-delete/nire-reformat mo ang partition kung saan naka-install ang Ubuntu. Usually kasi or by default, most users install GRUB2 in the same partition where Ubuntu is installed. So, pag dinelete or nireformat yung Ubuntu partition, pati yung GRUB2 nadadamay. Ang resulta, hindi nila ma-boot ang Windows (or yung natitirang) OS nila. May tutorial na rin sa Page 1 nito.

By the way, ang Wubi install method is for you to be able to do a "test run" of Ubuntu para ma-feel mo kung paano yung user experience niya...hindi po siya intended for permanent use.
Naku, hindi talaga ako FBT user eh...I just explored the possibility of doing this in Ubuntu/Linux and then I just did this para makapa-post ng tutorial. Along the way, yung mga Top Sellers ng VPN dito sa Symbianize pinahiram ako ng mga premium accounts kasi nag-request sila na gawan ko ng tutorials for their respective VPN services. Halos lahat naman sila iisa lang ang procedure ng pag-connect, so ang mag-iiba na lang diyan is yung mismong config files. Sa sobrang dami ng mga VPN services na naglalabasan I don't think kaya ko pang ipagpatuloy, unless susuwelduhan ako para lamang ito ang gawin ko.
Marami ng VPN, pero hindi alam kung gagana sa Ubuntu. Haha. Hindi po gagana pag yung cert nasa .ovpn na mismo? Tulad nung mga HSS.

Sige sasagot ako dun. Actually the easiest (and safest) way to do this is to simply install the Startup-Manager application in Ubuntu. Kaya ko nasabing "safe" is because GUI-based siya (GUI = Graphical User Interface, in short...point-and-click using the mouse). You can even configure the number of seconds that the bootloader will wait for you to select an OS, as well as configure your boot-up splash screen. Most of all...no hassles and guesswork in configuring using the Terminal. Good for beginners/newbies.
This is not to say na hindi puwede mag-Terminal (I believe Terminal is more efficient), pero iniisip ko lang yung mga newbies.

Im really excited na grumaduate at mareceive yung laptop ko this coming march. Di talaga ako nagkakatime na makapagpractice further ng ubuntu. I always give commendation for sir Topet for providing stuffs useful for Ubuntu, and its users.

Lahat naman sila eh safe/effective/clean, as long as you follow the instructions properly.

If you want a "Windows-like" interface/Desktop Environment/GUI, you may want to try "Kubuntu". Ang Ubuntu kasi, "Mac-inspired" ang interface.

May post na ako about the different ways of installing Ubuntu, nasa Page 1 lang po.
Yung Wubi and Virtualization methods, ito ay mga "trial" methods of installing Ubuntu (i.e. you just want to test and get a feel of the OS before doing the real installation). Medyo mabigat sa system resources ang dalawang methods na ito...if you want na ganitong methods lang, important na medyo malakas ang specs ng computer mo.
