Sure. Actually most of the guides here are written well, with step-by-step procedures and even with pictures. Also, FBT with Linux (using VPN) is easier than you think. You just need to read the tutorial that is linked in Page 1, because screenshots mismo yun ng mga desktop namin so meaning tried and tested. FBT using proxy IP Addresses (commonly called "Magic IP" here in Symbianize) is even easier because the default browser of Ubuntu is Mozilla Firefox. You simply configure the proxy IP address in the Preferences section of Mozilla Firefox.

From a newly-installed Ubuntu, you need to make sure that you do the initial steps:

1. Make sure you have an Internet Connection.
2. Run Update Manager to ensure that all updates for the OS are downloaded and installed on your computer (just like Windows Update)
3. Run "Additional Drivers" to ensure that your computer is using the latest device drivers (i.e. for your video card, sound card, etc.)...just like Windows pa rin.
4. Download and install Compiz Fusion. You can find it in the Ubuntu Software Center.

boss topet, good day.. hingi sana ako ng favor.. gawa ka sana tutorial about BURG Loader.. yung laptop kc ng friend ko ginawa kong dual os. win7 at ubuntu 11.04.. gusto ko sana malagyan ng GUI na loader para maging madali sa kanya, salamat boss. more power!

Okay, I'll try to create one, although BURG is something that I don't use.

I believe nowadays it's easy to have a GUI for the bootloader, try visiting www.webupd8.org and look for articles on BURG. I remember a few months back I have seen some easy-to-install versions of it.

Once I get free time on the weekends I'll probably create one also.

paupdate naman po para sa VPN, nd po magopen ng *.ovpn file.. i am using ubuntu 11.04.. and sa air vpn, wala na pong France..

Edit:
natry q pong gumamit ng ultrasurf in WINE kaso, "ultrasurf must exit po agad", aus namn po WIne ko at mga *.dll files na kalinagn..

Using VPN tut po sa page 1, wala pong France na nalabas or any other ports sa air vpn, nainstall ko na rin po ung openvpn na nasa ubuntu software center, kaso pag nagccreate na po aq, nd po nia binabasa ung *.opvn na file.. please po, i am using 11.04..

pde paPM naman din po saken:


1. The config file (the file that ends in the .ovpn filename)
2. All the certificate file/s that you are using (and let me know where you got them)

Hi Friend,

At this time, there are no more free servers for VPN for airvpn, that's why you will no longer see anything to choose from.

However, the steps for configuring VPN using other services still follow the same logic as my tutorial in Page 1. You just need to look for other VPN providers instead. There are a lot here in Symbianize.

If I'm not mistaken, Ultrasurf is for having "free Internet" by using Proxy IP Addresses (a.k.a. Magic IP), correct? If so, there is no more need to use apps like Ultrasurf if you want to have "free Internet" by using Proxy IP Addresses. Ubuntu can allow you to do that without using external or 3rd party apps; just visit Page 1 of this thread and read under the "Internet" section to find out how.

Please check the screenshot in my tutorial. Most likely may nakalimutan kang i-install. Hindi lang yung OpenVPN ang kailangan mo, pati rin yung network-manager-openvpn.

sa 11.04 built na cya? may check na po kc cya sa Software Center.. tsaka pag tinype ko po "openvpn" sa search, may check n po lahat..

ako boss, ang ginawa ko, naginstall aq VLC Player, google mo lang, "VLC Player for UBUNTU" or type sa Software Center..

ung akin kc, nkadual boot aq at windows ang may internet saken, so nagGOOGLE aq ng "VLC OFFLINE INSTALLER FOR UBUNTU" at may nakita aq..nkakapagplay na rin aq ng kung ano anong multimedia format..
