You want to remove explorer.exe? But, why? If you remove explorer.exe, you will not only have a lagging PC, you will also lose all your windows. There are tons of things that will cause a PC to lag and explorer.exe in "itself" is less likely one of them 
Although yung "explorer.exe" ay system process siya, in this case duda ako na legit yun. Iba na nga icon, hindi pa nagpakilala kung ano siya.

di ganyan logo ng explorer.exe,
TS possible virus yan check mo din sa msconfig may startup yan install ka lang ng AV, try mo eset full scan then check mo kung may nadetect then uninstall mo sa ung eset para di bumagal pc mo

Hindi ba? Heheh, pasensya na. Medyo matagal-tagal na kong di nakakagamit ulit ng Windoze (almost 6 years na), di na siguro ako familiar sa mga system icons. Well, if that's not the explorer.exe icon, then it could be like the old SvcHost virus na ginagaya yung actual svchost.exe which affects explorer.exe, run, task manager, folder options, etc.
This is a known virus "once upon a time" which could also reside sa System Volume Information folder ng bawat drive/partition, which makes it harder for antivirus to detect it.
Try nyo mag-search sa forum, or kung wala, post kayo ng request sa Computer Zone Requests.
May 14-day trial ang Malwarebytes Premium, at libre naman ang on-demand scan (or lilinisin yung PC kapag may virus na, kahit expired yung trial; pakicheck nalang https://www.malwarebytes.com/premium/).
