Vpn ang Katotohanan

VPN is legal if you use it legally (by means of legally, which is you have a legit internet connection).

If you use VPN to bypass a ISP's firewall (eg you dont want to pay to gain internet access) then that's illegal under Anti-Fencing Law. Of course the ISP cant caught you that easily due to prepaid sim cards, but once the SIM registration became a thing, your happy days is nigh.

It is not the VPN service is illegal, it is the way you use it.

As per one of the comments here, sellers of VPN which promotes "unli internet" without agreement with the telco are breaking the law: Anti-Fencing Law.

And most of the buyers/users are using Prepaid SIM, they also fall on the terms and agreements of their telco, which also indicates that you shall not use the SIM for any unlawful, fraudulent, elicit or abusive purpose.

In short, VPN service is legal here in Philippines (in China, it is not!!)

Illegal kasi data nang ISP dito sa pinas ginagamit po pero may kasabihan A problem is never a problem as long as nobody sees it as a problem, sa ngayon wala pang pwedeng hakbang na magagawa ang globe/smart laban sa mga users in public.

ginagawa natin way ang vpn for cheaper and unlimited internet connection, sino ba naman aayaw sa 120 -250 monthly tapos unlimited pa

again VPN is LEGAL the way we use it is ILLEGAL :D

VPN is Legal.
The way we use it is also Legal. VPN do what it needs to do to "provide secure network".
You may call it glorified term for stealing but were taking "ADVANTAGE" of loopholes that is in the network.
And because there are only 2 networks that compete they cant take actions against VPN users all they can do for "NOW" is fix system bugs and loopholes.

The real purpose of VPN is to encrypt your data while surfing in public FREE wifi. Pero the other way around, I dont think so. For those who want to make their own VPN, you can folow my guide http://www.symbianize.com/showthread.php?t=1418218

Enlighten me sir, so you may call Kodi and it's add ons as ADVANTAGE for providing easy access to pirated content? or you may call jumper user of electricity taking ADVANTAGE of their wire connected to electricity line without concent?

I think, we are fully aware that what WE are doing is stealing!! We just don't care much because of our Telco's bad service.

It is like, having a prepaid electricity and you have zero load, but you can bypass it using special hardware, would you call it stealing or taking advantage of the LOOPHOLES?

Mind you that china put persons in prison for using VPN!! that is why Shadowsocks is created. I think you get my point, but please let me know otherwise.
