Mga mahihilig sa chess dito naman tayo sa pagdikit ni Wesley sa FIDE 2800 rating at tangkang hamunin si Carlsen.

At the moment, it looks like Giri is upending Wesley in games, so interesting how Wesley would respond in the next match. Sa last Tata Steel tournament, si Giri lang ang nakatalo kay Wesley, who had been second to Carlsen before their game.

US Team nga lang si GM Wesley. Yun match nila ni GM Magnus was a draw, sabi ni Magnus mas magaling sa mid game si Wesley at napalingo-lingo na lang sa ulo si Magnus.

Familiar din si Magnus sa laro ni Wesley. May time ata na kabilang si Wesley sa team ni Magnus sa isang competition. Si Caruana humihina ang laro lately. Sayang yung talo ni Wesley kay Giri sa Tata, looks like he pushed too far for a win. Ngayon umaarangkada si Giri sumampa na sa 2800 ang rating. Si Nakamura din humahataw. Di ko alam kung planado ung limited competitions sinalihan ni Wesley or may ibang dahilan.

nuon active ako sa chess.com tsaka ung isa pa site. ilan din kami mga tropa ko active dati. ngayon sa case ko mahirap na kumuha time subsob at haggard na sa trabaho. laman ako dati ng farmers at luneta sa pustahan lalo na pamuhunan sa gimik, haha. dami ko mga nakasalamuha yung iba local champions. sa tulay (guadalupe) nagawi na rin ako twice di na nasundan.

nagagawa ko na lang silip minsan sa international chess tournaments like yung tata steel lately and last world championship. enjoy din makigulo sa tcec, yung tournament ng mga chess engines. makakausap mo mismo yung deve!opers like robert houdart of houdini fame. ung late programmer ng komodo nakikigulo din dun down to earth sila

Haha..ako kahit subsub sa work basta may vacant time sa office chess.com past time ko, chess din kc warm up ko kapag may maraming gagawin na trabaho at chess din stress reliever ko. hirap kase sa chess pag matagal na walang laro hirap tanggalin ng kalawang. i tried tinkering with chess engines, eh nakakadismaya hirap talunin kahit yung middle levels nila. yung mga nasubukan ko yung houdini (hanggang latest niya, version 4), and stockfish, hindi nga lang masyado. yung komodo may installer ako di ko na natry.

chesscube pala yung isa site na member din ako, pero yun na nga, i hardly find the time to play kahit online. naalala ko dati meron girl na maganda sa chess.com dami gusto makipaglaro sa kanya nakapila, hehe. yung iba nagpapatalo na lang para mahuli loob ng girl. eastern european siya. did not even get to play her sa dami ng nakapila nga, haha.

sa tcec may mga pinoy ako namimeet. try mo minsan hang out dun pag on na ulit tournament. mahahalata mo post nila kase minsan nagtatagalog. ilan yung nagya3 sakin dati sa chess.com dun.

maraming dadaanan ang gustong maging world champion sa ngayon. bukod kay carlsen, andiyan ang malalakas na kabataan din sa katauhan nina caruana, giri, nakamura, karjakin, etc. may nakapila pa gaya ni dominguez. then yung old guards na pinangungunahan nina anand, topalov, grishchuk, etc.

it's understandable na marami ang nabadtrip sa paglipat ni Wesley ng federation (and of course, kasunod na citizenship), but as pure lovers of chess, we are obligated to separate the controversies surrounding any player from that of his or her games alone, which this thread mainly focuses on. there will always be merits for on or against the change of flags, but let's leave that for others to dissect, not here. this thread should be treated as for those who support wesley's chess and wish him well in his pursuit of his goals and leave the other issues for others to debate on.

and let's enjoy human chess for all its worth. we all know that humans can no longer hold a candle to current chess engines (houdini, stockfish, komodo, for example) ranked a whopping FIDE 3200++, blind to human emotions, esp. fear in open play.

Yung rating pa lang ng top seventeen chess engines na to nakakalula na para marating ng human chess players. Even Carlsen harbors no illusion that he could beat, let's say, the top three engines indicated above. Ang nangyayari, chess grandmasters employ their favorite chess engine to help them analyze and improve their games.
