[ADVISE] Help in Assembling/Building/Choosing/Upgrading Your Computer

Hi guys,

I started this thread to help everyone wanting a new computer. All you need to do is post the following:

other miscellaneous requirements:

*If to be used for gaming,. please indicate the games you wish to play.

The prices i will be using are those that come from major shops in gilmore and also PCexpress and others... The prices will only reflect that of which on the date of my post.

also please put your requests in this format:

How to get to Gilmore:
commuting... From EDSA get on the MRT to Cubao and take the other train and get off at Gilmore station. so easy.
driving... Via aurora is the easiest way from EDSA. anyway, just ask na lang cos i dunno where you'll be coming from.

Hi. Please help me buy a computer for my son. He will be using it mainly for school and some games. He likes to play Dota and L4D. Our budget for the PC would be 20K. We already have a printer, monitor and speakers. Our monitor is a 17" CRT monitor. My son said he prefers 1gb video card.

You also need an aftermarket HSF para sa cpu/mobo na yan. Kung di ka lang din mag overclock, downgrade sa cpu at mag H77 ka nalang. You could also use a better PSU, iwasan ang Cooler Master na PSU.

If you want to waste performance, ayan yung build na gusto mo hehe.

okay sir, lets say na i'll go for 21.5" na monitor.

diba sir sabi mo dati, if I go for z77 mobo, dapat may K sa dulo ung processor?

pa guide naman sa GPU ng crash kasi yung XFX 4670 1GB eh
ito po specs ko:
MOBO : Biostar N68S3B GF7025/ddr3
Moni : 18.5 inch ASUS LCD
RAM : Kingston 1333 4gb
HDD : 500gb Western Digital blue
PSU : Acbell 500W CE2
GPU : (balak ko mag PowerColor HD6670 2gb ddr3 128bit kung kaya po ng specs ko)
Casing: Generic ATX hindi ko din po alam kung kakayanin pag nagtaas ako ng GPU
Budget for GPU 2.5k - 3.5k

Yung binigay kong build before ay pasok na sa needs mo. For your wants lagpas na yun sa budget which is 45k. I'm only here to recommend what you need.

It's up to you if you really want to compromise the build which I would say something you don't want to do.

Kung ako sayo sikapin mo hanapin yung parts. Gagastos ka nalang din ng malaki hindi mo pa ayusin.

Solid na solid yung build na binigay ko sayo.

Yung binigay kong build before ay pasok na sa needs mo. For your wants lagpas na yun sa budget which is 45k. I'm only here to recommend what you need.

It's up to you if you really want to compromise the build which I would say something you don't want to do.

- Palit GT 440 1GB DDR5

Magkano na po ang budget? Curious lang, why do you need 2GB sa GPU when you only prefer 18.5" monitor? Alam mo ba ang actual use ng vram? Lahat ng GPU pwede i-OC, misinformed ka yata hehe.

You need more vram when on higher resolutions. 2GB is geared towards multiple monitor setup which I don't think gagawin mo dahil 18.5" nga lang gusto mo eh. 1GB lang ok na sa single monitor in most cases kahit 1080p pa yan.

so kapag 21.5" yung monitor, dapat mga 2gb yung VRAM? and kapag 18.5" dapat 1gb lang? kasi sa mga baong games ngayon, mga recommended ay 1gb or 2gb. so para mas the best, 2gb na pinili ko.

Sir DDR3 Slot lang po MOBO Biostar N68S3B GF7025/ddr3 ko pwede ko ba ipasok ung DDR5 sa DDR3? no idea po kasi.. :lol:

P67 - pwede overclock naCPU, pero yung GPU dapat HINDI OC
H67 - Overclock GPU, yung CPU hindi
Z68 - Overclock both GPU and CPU

ano naman ung sa H77? bawal overclock sa parehas na GPU at CPU? and bawal din gawing dual monitor?

dun sa specs na pinaparebuild ko, hindi ko balak mag dual monitor and dual GPU

kahit in the future..
