Hi guys,

I started this thread to help everyone wanting a new computer. All you need to do is post the following:
Code:
budget:
usage:

other miscellaneous requirements:

*If to be used for gaming,. please indicate the games you wish to play.

The prices i will be using are those that come from major shops in gilmore and also PCexpress and others... The prices will only reflect that of which on the date of my post.

also please put your requests in this format:

Processor:
Motherboard:
RAM:

Video Card:

Hard Drive:
Optical Drive:

Power Supply:
Casing:

monitor:

Accessories:

please indicate (at least)the size of the hard disk desired, and also what you need/have/prefer.

Thanks.

How to get to Gilmore:
commuting... From EDSA get on the MRT to Cubao and take the other train and get off at Gilmore station. so easy.
driving... Via aurora is the easiest way from EDSA. anyway, just ask na lang cos i dunno where you'll be coming from.

An example post would be as follows:
Hi. Please help me buy a computer for my son. He will be using it mainly for school and some games. He likes to play Dota and L4D. Our budget for the PC would be 20K. We already have a printer, monitor and speakers. Our monitor is a 17" CRT monitor. My son said he prefers 1gb video card.

Thank you.

hindi ka naman magooverclock eh... hindi naman capable yung mobo at cpu mo for OC... operating temps ng system mo should only be around +60°C
100°C ang thermal limit ng mga CPU sa ngayon... which means, kung hindi ka naman lalagpas ng 90°C, safe ang CPU mo... and even lumagpas, magthermal throttle lang yun... which means bababa ang performance ng CPU mo temporarily to compensate for the overheating
kaya kahit stock fan lang gamitin mo, hindi magiging problema yan kung maglalaro ka lang. kung mag-AIDA64 na stress test ka, maaring lumagpas ng 90°C yung CPU temp mo at 100% load... but it still won't thermal throttle kasi safe operating temps nya pa rin yan.
kaya i would rather recommend a CM Hyper 212 evo or Cryorig H7... parehong wala pang 2k ang presyo pero would bring down your CPU temps to around 60°C even at 100% load.

ghostecho

ito sir baka makatulong How To Choose an All-in-One CPU Water Cooler
Php 1050 - ID Cooling IS50 (low-profile with 5x6mm direct touch heatpipes)
Php 1060 - ID Cooling SE214X (tower with 4x6mm direct touch heatpipes)
Php 1590 - ID Cooling SE204K (tower with 4x8mm direct touch heatpipes)
Php 1430 - Deep Cool Gamerstorm Gabriel (very low-profile with 4x6mm heatpipes)
Php 1600 - Deep Cool Ice Blade Pro v2 (tower with 4 direct touch heatpipes)
Php 1699 - Cooler Master Hyper 212X (tower with 4 direct touch heatpipes no gaps)

my cousin has a deepcool lucifer air cooler which is massive. plus, its dual fan mode so thats additional weight. vertical set up and havent cracked yet. his mobo is expensive though and has good pcb since its meant for overclocking. some mobo have flimsy pcb but these are generally the cheap ones and not ideal for overclocking. so you wont need a massive heatsink on non-oc mobos. its a mix and match. kind of like gpu and cpu analogy. nobody buys a gtx1080 and uses g4560 as their cpu.

if youre having temp problems, id rather check your airflow, thermal paste, dusts and webs that are clogging it.

good luck.

Biruin nyo way back 2008 the q6600 price at 10k and 1gb ddr2 1.3k haha, but now you can buy him 2nd hand at 500-800 pesos for the ram naman at 100-200 pesos

Planning to switch AMD Ryzen 7 hehe.

i can't recommend liquid cooling to beginners... kasi after a year or 2, kelangan mo palitan yung tubig sa radiator. there is a level of maintenance required din eh :noidea:
there are high performance air coolers din na halos ka-presyo na ng entry level AIO liquid coolers and also deliver similar levels of cooling... ang maganda pa nito, halos walang maintenance maliban sa konting punas-punas at tahimik.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U2hum55Qufo

yung CPU mo locked skylake i7... tapos yung mobo mo Z270... if you opted for a Z170 mobo instead, merong mga special BIOS/UEFI yung mga yun to allow you to overclock your locked CPU.
RAM: if you are using a Z series mobo, you should get the fastest one you can afford kasi supported nila yun. there is a slight speed gain though :noidea:
GPU: high end parts mo, tapos yung GPU mo mid-range lang... maybe a 1070 or 1080ti upgrade? :evillol:
case: maybe mas poging case?
cpu cooler: maybe something better instead? low profile fan for SFF builds yan eh

teka... bakit ka magpapalit ng ryzen? your current CPU will beat ryzen in gaming when regards to highest average FPS.
gumagawa ka ba ng video or 3d rendering? virtual machines? there's no point in having so many cores if you are just playing games.

there is a misconception na tahimik ang mga AIO liquid coolers... though maganda nga at hindi ganun kaingay at kabilis ang mga fans dahil sa efficient heat transfer ng tubig, pag nilakas mo yung fans para sa radiator mo to 100%, there will be noise (on some crazy, rare scenarios)... tapos dagdag mo pa yung ingay ng pump, which is noisiest part of the AIO liquid coolers... but it's still not that bad
yung mga noctua fans, yun, tahimik yung mga yun.

get the 4gb model. you can set higher quality textures and settings on games. some games like deus ex machina's higher settings are disabled if you have less than 4gb of vram. just overclock the 4gb model to compensate for the lower clock speed

Good day, sir im comparing within the base clock and idle / normal gaming i dont mind the OC feature i rather use that in other purposes. well thanks for your suggestion. Godbless

Well may point din naman sya, locked 6th gen CPU mo tapos Z270 7th gen mobo mo, its a waste of a mobo. Dapat nag 7700k ka, or yung mobo mo kahit B150 or H110m kasi locked CPU din naman, same performance din naman yan, yung na save mo sa mobo pwede mo sana dagdag sa GPU mo, pwede ka sana mag 1070 or 2nd hand 1080, mas maganda pa performance.

Hello sir its out of my topic. thats in other thread upper than my reply :beat::beat::beat::beat:

Re: [ADVISE]Help you build/choose a Computer

I3 6th gen
ASUS Z170M-PLUS LGA 1151
1 tb HDD
G.SKILL RIPJAWSV 16GB (2X8GB) DDR4-2400MHZ MEMORY

Re: [ADVISE]Help you build/choose a Computer

Pero if you are wise at ayaw mo mag bayad ng libu-libong elec. bill
Start learning consumption and build a highend cpu low power consumption :)

Kung nag OC ako and i dont care the bills, i took the K instead the non K
6700=65watts vs. 6700k=95watts? Plus OC?
Video Card 1060=120watts vs 1080ti=220watts plus OC?
Cooler? Again Im not to OC.
Case?
Yes ryzen im planning the 65watts. Im more on multitasking
In a year i save thousand of pesos for electricity bill

rich boy? wtf?
kung hindi ka rich boy, you should have opted instead on either a h110 or b250 mobo (4k and below) and an i5 or lower.. not a z270 mobo that costs more than 7k and a cpu that costs around 15k
i am well aware of the power consumption of those parts, I just suggested them kasi high end yung parts mo. tapos, you are comparing the power consumption of flagship product, i.e. cpu and gpu, against a mid/mid-high tier version. of course mas makakatipid ka sa mid-tier both on direct cost and power consumption. pero how about the performance? pareho ba? maybe the cpu, you'll barely get around 10% better performance pero yung gpu, malaki ang difference.
multi-tasking is different from multi-threading... maybe you should learn that too.. its related, but there are differences... and those differences make use of those additional threads.
well, if you are not into OC, bakit ka kumuha ng Z mobo? if you are not going to use its extra PCIE lanes, extra SATA ports, hardware RAID, m.2, etc, then you just wasted your money... tapos hindi ka rich boy... :slap:
cooler, i was just suggesting that there are better coolers out there. kahit di ka mag-OC... less than 2k but will reduce your temps to 60degs or less even at 100% cpu load
case is purely aesthetic and serves barely any function... I'm just suggesting that there are better cases for your build. hell, kahit ikabit mo lang sa sa plywood yan as long na functional eh.
I have no idea of what are you actually doing with your computer since you didn't mention it other than "multitasking". pero if you want to save on your electricity bill, then why not opt instead for a low power G4560 build? if operating without any CPU and media streaming lang function nya, wala pa 200w ang entire power consumption mo.
be a little open-minded to suggestions and not take it personally. if you want us to understand why you chose those parts, then you should have explained it in detail.
