Hi guys,

I started this thread to help everyone wanting a new computer. All you need to do is post the following:
Code:
budget:
usage:

other miscellaneous requirements:

*If to be used for gaming,. please indicate the games you wish to play.

The prices i will be using are those that come from major shops in gilmore and also PCexpress and others... The prices will only reflect that of which on the date of my post.

also please put your requests in this format:

Processor:
Motherboard:
RAM:

Video Card:

Hard Drive:
Optical Drive:

Power Supply:
Casing:

monitor:

Accessories:

please indicate (at least)the size of the hard disk desired, and also what you need/have/prefer.

Thanks.

How to get to Gilmore:
commuting... From EDSA get on the MRT to Cubao and take the other train and get off at Gilmore station. so easy.
driving... Via aurora is the easiest way from EDSA. anyway, just ask na lang cos i dunno where you'll be coming from.

An example post would be as follows:
Hi. Please help me buy a computer for my son. He will be using it mainly for school and some games. He likes to play Dota and L4D. Our budget for the PC would be 20K. We already have a printer, monitor and speakers. Our monitor is a 17" CRT monitor. My son said he prefers 1gb video card.

Thank you.

Kaby Pentium is The New Budget King

The chip is no slouch in gaming either, proving to be the perfect companion for a graphics card akin to the RX 460, GTX 1050 or 1050 Ti (it worked also well with the GTX 1060 though we think a sub-$200 GPU makes more sense for playing CPU-intensive games on the G4560).

note for new builders:

Don't cheap out on your Power Supply Unit (PSU). It serves as the heart of your PC supplying current on your parts. A cheapo, generic psu typically have unreliable voltage and current supply with extreme peaks and dips. pag may pumutok na capacitor nyan, baka madamay pa ibang components nyo :slap:

edit:
merong mga True Rated PSU which means that the given rating (e.g. 500w, 600w, etc) ay ang actual power na kaya nya supply. the efficiency rating is also an advantage as higher efficiency rated PSU's consume less power than lower tiered ones.
may PSU thread na na-discuss na rin mga yan and i would recommend that you read them if you want more information. I'll post the link once I can find it.

really? all brandnew pc parts tapos mag recommend ka ng bargain/used psu?

Conclusion:

:beat:

wait pano nag botneck ang g4560 + 1050 , 1050 is not powerful GPU
try mo mag intel 5400 w/ h310 to 370 chipset ( for upgrade path ) + 1050ti + 16GB Memory + EVGA 450w kac mababa nmn ang load mo
or kung kya mo mag i3 8100

Kaby Pentium is The New Budget King

Conclusion (Sana Final na :lmao:)
Nasa bibili yan kung tatanggapin nila ang advise o hinde, this is forum for everyone na gustong magbigay ng advise at hindi advise ng iisang tao lang, sana may moderator na makakabasa

well, sa totoo lang we already had several and in-depth discussions about PSU's. meron akong link na pinost dun kung saan namin pinag-usapan yan. merong PSU tier list which we agreed and most recommendations were based from it.

yung sinabi mong hindi gumana ay malamang mahinang quality yung PSU na pinili, generic or kapos sa power. that's why all our recommendation are True Rated with at least a bronze certification. well, minsan white lang like the corsair vs450 pero yan ay kung talagang gipit sa budget. I only recommend generic ones included with the case lalo na kung office pc, APU build or temporary lang talaga hanggang sa makaipon ng kapalit.

our power rating recommendation are mostly based on experience and know-how on how much power does a certain part require. then add all those up and multiply them by around 1.5~2x to utilize the efficiency curve of the PSU. meron din power supply calculator na website at pcpartpicker kung gusto mong exact

hi mga sirs. need an expert opinion. my processor is i5 4th gen. planning to upgrade my gpu to gtx 1060 6gb. is it ok padin ba for 4th gen processor or need to upgrade nadin my processor? aim ko lang naman is 1080p gaming. thanks.

@matt8988;
we are here to help the n00bs build/upgrade their PC by recommending a good value for money parts combination.
fortunately, most of us here in this thread that helps other people are concerned that they don't burn their PC, money and maybe their house.

4th gen is still very much capable... very competitive pa nga yung mga "unlocked" na 2nd gen eh. I myself, have a 4th gen i7 4790 paired with a 980ti. though medyo kapos ako ng mga 3~10 fps against the 4790k, but that is still a great gaming performance. I think on par pa yang CPU mo sa i3 8100 since 4 cores na rin ang i3 ngayon

note: 980ti is on par with a 1070 with less than 5% margin of error

Good pa yan sir. Mahirap mag upgrade now dahil damay ram at mobo mo.

anung specs ang maganda ngaun for computer shop business? kasama monitor 15k per unit
