MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Information and Communications Technology said Monday that problems may occur in the first two weeks of SIM registration, but telecommunications companies assured that they will be continuously improving their processes.

"The first two weeks will be a test registration. Which means registrations are valid, but there could be some difficulties and minor errors as the implementation process is finetuned," DICT Undersecretary Anna Mae Lamentillo said a day before SIM registration begins. - Philstar

December 27 will mark the start of SIMcard Registration, an ACT which was approved by our President that maybe helpful or threat to us. Any cent thoughts?

Mababawasan na yung anonymous messages, specially yung scam texts. Isipin mo yung number mo is parang name mo na rin. Threat sya kasi ayun di na uso privacy

Good idea to mababawasan na mga unwanted message and scammers, madali na sila matutukoy kase kaya di na sila magbabalak mang scam thru text.

Smart's registration website seems to be down right now, error ang kumalabas for the last few minutes. Si Globe, naglu-loopback lang dyan sa FAQ page so useless... Si DITO ayus na, mabilis sa app. Smart Postpaid is as easy as texting YES to 5858.

sa tingin ko wala naman ata problema sa multiple network registration kasi sabi sabi eh magkaiba daw ung file server ng tatlo... at managed and kept ng bawat network ung data natin... un nga lang open access si republic of the philippines kung kinakailangan ng data..

sa tingin ko pde since nasa initial phase lng ung registration process ng smart eh baka sa pag verify ng identity na po yan mapapansin.. at mas mainam kung sa kanila ka tlga magtatanong about jan po.. wala din kami experience ng na experience nyo po eh.. sensya..

nakoooo huli po pag ganun.. pero sure hindi kulong.. hehe.. sa pinas most likeyly kung "walang nagrereklamo, walang kaso".. pwera nlang kung nag reklamo ang mga ch1ld p0rn advocate at napasama ang IP/SIM number mo dun sa iimbestigahan nila..

IMO: lng po huh.. kung pilipino ka po, at nasa legal age, same procedure lang po ata..
