Hi guys,

I started this thread to help everyone wanting a new computer. All you need to do is post the following:
Code:
budget:
usage:

other miscellaneous requirements:

*If to be used for gaming,. please indicate the games you wish to play.

The prices i will be using are those that come from major shops in gilmore and also PCexpress and others... The prices will only reflect that of which on the date of my post.

also please put your requests in this format:

Processor:
Motherboard:
RAM:

Video Card:

Hard Drive:
Optical Drive:

Power Supply:
Casing:

monitor:

Accessories:

please indicate (at least)the size of the hard disk desired, and also what you need/have/prefer.

Thanks.

How to get to Gilmore:
commuting... From EDSA get on the MRT to Cubao and take the other train and get off at Gilmore station. so easy.
driving... Via aurora is the easiest way from EDSA. anyway, just ask na lang cos i dunno where you'll be coming from.

An example post would be as follows:
Hi. Please help me buy a computer for my son. He will be using it mainly for school and some games. He likes to play Dota and L4D. Our budget for the PC would be 20K. We already have a printer, monitor and speakers. Our monitor is a 17" CRT monitor. My son said he prefers 1gb video card.

Thank you.

I wouldn't really recommend putting a water cooling solution on a locked CPU... kahit 100% CPU usage, hindi mag-ooverheat yan eh :noidea: tapos meron pang water maintenance yan after around a year or so... meron kasing mga bacteria build-up at metal corrosion eh ang mga liquid cooling solutions (yes, even if treated with anti-freeze, anti-bacterial and anti-corrosive chemicals)
lagyan mo lang ng decent cpu cooler bababa na yan at around 60°C at 100% cpu load... idle temps would actually go down to around +20°C. e.g. CoolerMaster Hyper 212X & Cryorig H7, both for less than 2k

@matt8988;

other concerns:
about i7 8700k vs i7 9700k... in my opinion, mas superior ang 8700k kesa sa mas bagong 9700k... though the newer has 8 physical cores, the older generation has 12 threads which is better for multiple processes. sobra namang overpriced ang i9 9900k
gaming... meh... pareho lang yan... barely a couple of fps apart depende kung paano mo i-overclock.

:beat:

PS: wag kadin maniniwala sa mga APU build (walang gpu tapos same price ) better gtx 1050Ti.

Budget: 10-15k
Usage: Gaming (kaya most online games. Hindi EA level)

Other Details:

Asus motherboard with i5
Orion case with 1 fan

Thank you in advance

OK yan, dapat OS/games/apps (program files) sa SSD para mabiis boot at launch ng apps/games ... tapos ung HDD mo ang data/media storage mo (docs/music/videos/movies/etc)

yes. that's the idea
maybe until the day na pareho na ang presyo at capacity ng ssd at hdd :pacute:

yung ROG branded usually binned ang pinaka-gpu nyan. which means it was pre-selected with higher expected boost/overclocking potential than the average 1080ti (or similar gpu). the ROG brand of asus carries it's flagship line, while yung strix ay pang-"mid tier" branding nila which usually includes RGB lightning

budget: Lowest possible (below 10k? if doable. flex naman to, saka CPU only)
usage: MOBA (the common ones - Dota2, LOL, RoS, 2k if ever, bonus na yung GTA or PUBG kung kakayanin sa low-mid settings) and usual student stuff (Office Apps)

other miscellaneous requirements: kung maaari sana AM4 yung mobo para upgradeable in the future pag naisipan.

smallest SSD na pwede (may 60GB ba? 120GB?), i plan to store all my files on cloud storage

baka pwedeng mas mataas yung rating ng PSU kesa sa need, para kung iupgrade man with a GPU kaya pa
