Hi guys,

I started this thread to help everyone wanting a new computer. All you need to do is post the following:
Code:
budget:
usage:

other miscellaneous requirements:

*If to be used for gaming,. please indicate the games you wish to play.

The prices i will be using are those that come from major shops in gilmore and also PCexpress and others... The prices will only reflect that of which on the date of my post.

also please put your requests in this format:

Processor:
Motherboard:
RAM:

Video Card:

Hard Drive:
Optical Drive:

Power Supply:
Casing:

monitor:

Accessories:

please indicate (at least)the size of the hard disk desired, and also what you need/have/prefer.

Thanks.

How to get to Gilmore:
commuting... From EDSA get on the MRT to Cubao and take the other train and get off at Gilmore station. so easy.
driving... Via aurora is the easiest way from EDSA. anyway, just ask na lang cos i dunno where you'll be coming from.

An example post would be as follows:
Hi. Please help me buy a computer for my son. He will be using it mainly for school and some games. He likes to play Dota and L4D. Our budget for the PC would be 20K. We already have a printer, monitor and speakers. Our monitor is a 17" CRT monitor. My son said he prefers 1gb video card.

Thank you.

Re: [ADVISE]Help you build/choose/upgrade your Computer

@bee

@barusang

Re: [ADVISE]Help you build/choose/upgrade your Computer

Hehe

Re: [ADVISE]Help you build/choose/upgrade your Computer

the difference is just certain features on the board... if you don't get it, it doesn't matter. XD

pero try getting this board if your stuck on G31.
Asus P5KPL-AM/PS

for 4K you can get a far better board. kung kukuha ka rin ng VC, i'd have to suggest MSI P43 Neo-F

tnx sir! buti di pa ko nakakabili kc di ako nakaluwas.. im looking this one P43 neo-F!

Re: [ADVISE]Help you build/choose/upgrade your Computer

pwede kaya to sa msi neo p43 f at Asus P5KPL-AM?

Re: [ADVISE]Help you build/choose/upgrade your Computer

Re: [ADVISE]Help you build/choose/upgrade your Computer

P43 is a newer chipset offering more rich features and support for your other PC parts. in rare cases, it makes your PC faster. In your case though ok na rin ang G31(Asus P5KPL-AM/PS), yun nga lang, you'll be missing a lot that the P43 has to offer.

Re: [ADVISE]Help you build/choose/upgrade your Computer

tanong lang ulit mga master..

anu silbi nung onboard video card(graphics card ba tawag dun?) kung my bukod ka nmng video card? nakakatulong po ba to sa performance?

Re: [ADVISE]Help you build/choose/upgrade your Computer

DDR2 800 or PC-800? please make sure. kasi PC800 RDRAM pa yun. pero i'll give you the benefit of the doubt na DDR2 na yan kasi PCIe na yang VC mo e. yes, compatible yan. when you go buy, just make sure you get kingston DDR2 800MHz as well. mas mainam, dalin mo yung stick ng ram para maipares dun sa ram na bibilhin mo.

su! nybee talaga. kaya yan no.
anu-ano ba system requirements nyan?
nag browse ako nakita ko 2GHz Procie, 2gb RAM... so... kaya yan.

Athlon X2 5000+ ~3000
GF7 motherboard ~2000
2x2gb RAM ~ 2200
250gb HDD ~ 2200
Generic case+PSU ~ 1300
ODD ~ 1300

CRT monitor!? ~ 4K haha!

anu silbi nung onboard video card(graphics card ba tawag dun?) kung my bukod ka nmng video card? nakakatulong po ba to sa performance?

Performance wise the IGP(ang tamang tawag sa onboard)does nothing... but NVIDIA and ATi are only releasing boards with IGP. wala nang chipset na walang IGP from these 2. intel na lang ang gumagawa ng walang IGP. (sama e no... :D)

these newer chipsets bring better peroformance. so yun... wala nga naitutulong yung IGP, pero yung mga kasama nya meron.

here are some other reasons why IGPs are important:
1) in case you encounter OS problems, debugging using IGP is better, kasi less parts
5)certain IGP+VC features such as Hybrid power(da best to)

malaki price difference nila..

Procie c2d 2.66ghz..
HDD 1 160 at isang 250..
saka my lightscribe pa ko..

Re: [ADVISE]Help you build/choose/upgrade your Computer

^'Yung onboard nung akin VIA.

This mobo has been with me since 2007, so medyo recent nga lang. :D
