[ADVISE] Help in Assembling/Building/Choosing/Upgrading Your Computer

Hi guys,

I started this thread to help everyone wanting a new computer. All you need to do is post the following:

usage:

other miscellaneous requirements:

*If to be used for gaming,. please indicate the games you wish to play.


The prices i will be using are those that come from major shops in gilmore and also PCexpress and others... The prices will only reflect that of which on the date of my post.

How to get to Gilmore:
commuting... From EDSA get on the MRT to Cubao and take the other train and get off at Gilmore station. so easy.
driving... Via aurora is the easiest way from EDSA. anyway, just ask na lang cos i dunno where you'll be coming from.

Hi. Please help me buy a computer for my son. He will be using it mainly for school and some games. He likes to play Dota and L4D. Our budget for the PC would be 20K. We already have a printer, monitor and speakers. Our monitor is a 17" CRT monitor. My son said he prefers 1gb video card.

mga experts pa review naman po kung anong model ang dabest, yung balanse ang presyo sa performance, para sulit, kumbaga ma maximize ang quality at ma minimize ang cost...

kalimitan ng mga nrecommend sakin asus, msi, ecs, asrock, and gigabyte

mga h61 or z77 chipset series na mga mobo from that brands try mo dun mamili....

nasayo aman yun kung alin preference mo...

edit : depende po rin pla yan kung anu processor gamit mo po...

intel pentenium dualcore po ung gamit ko 32bit.... Un lng po ang ntatandaan ko.... Alin po kaya ang maganda?

Kasi:

1. Mas mainit ang Ivy Bridge
2. Maliit lang ang performance difference ng dalawa pero magkalayo ang pricing, so hindi siya sulit para sa mga budget-conscious
3. Although may PCI-e 3.0 technology na ang Ivy Bridge Processors (for video cards), in real-life hindi pa nga nama-max out ang performance ng PCI-e 2.0 na video cards.

Para saan po ba gagamitin? Overclocking/benchmarking ba? Casual usage (Internet, high-end games)? Kung hindi naman benchmarking ang hilig ninyo, ganito na lang: Sandy Bridge kayo then yung motherboard ninyo is Z77 na board. Para in the future, kung mag-decide kayo na mag-Ivy Bridge, then ready na ang board ninyo (but then again, current 1155 boards are compatible for use with current Ivy Bridge processors anyway).

40k max budget CPU lang po ., p advice mga brads

for gaming (guild wars 2)

proccesor: i5 or??
Video Card: gtx 560 256 bitrate or??
ram: mga 8gb (ano maganda?)

fan,powersupply,casing,HDD etc.. yung mga available lang po sa GILMORE pra isang bilihan nalang. thanks amigo amigas!

You are suggesting OC but the cpu you are suggesting are the non-"K" variant. There are successful stories overcloclocking i5-3550 though but is not really advisable compare to the unlocked series.

If you are not planning OC'ing the proci, sulit na yung i5-3470/3550 otherwise I would just suggest i5-2500k with a good cooler.

Sir Help naman sa pag setup. 1st PC pa lang na aassemble. Yung okay sana pang CrossFire (FPS Game). 10k budget lang kaya ko in Advance.

coolmaster 690ii sana bilhin ko na chasis para sa build ko kea lng kulang budget....

CoolerMaster 690II is a very nice case, ito ang dati kong case.

Tip: when purchasing a case, isipin ninyo kung may possibility kayo na mag-add ng components in the future para hindi kayo palit nang palit.

prepare ka ng 15 to 20k para mas maganda mga specs..

Yup, just answered that question a few pages back, I believe.

The only "disadvantage" (I don't even think it is), is that some advanced features of a Z77 board will not be useable, such as PCI-e version 3. Realistically though, even with the current PCI-e version technology of video cards, no game or app has actually maxed out the capability of PCI-e version 2. Hence I can't call it a "disadvantage".

In fact you are at an advantage. When the time comes that sofware/apps can indeed maximize PCIe 3, then you are already "future proof" because you already have a board that supports it.
