Hi guys,

I started this thread to help everyone wanting a new computer. All you need to do is post the following:

other miscellaneous requirements:

*If to be used for gaming,. please indicate the games you wish to play.


The prices i will be using are those that come from major shops in gilmore and also PCexpress and others... The prices will only reflect that of which on the date of my post.

How to get to Gilmore:
commuting... From EDSA get on the MRT to Cubao and take the other train and get off at Gilmore station. so easy.
driving... Via aurora is the easiest way from EDSA. anyway, just ask na lang cos i dunno where you'll be coming from.


An example post would be as follows:
Hi. Please help me buy a computer for my son. He will be using it mainly for school and some games. He likes to play Dota and L4D. Our budget for the PC would be 20K. We already have a printer, monitor and speakers. Our monitor is a 17" CRT monitor. My son said he prefers 1gb video card.

san po ba maganda mamili sa gilmore?..
nagpunta ako dun kanina para mag canvas kaso gabi na ako napunta pcexpress na lang inabutan ko tapos kumuha na lang ako ng price list nila.. medyo mahal mga items nila tapos hindi pa complete yung na-suggest sakin na items..

bro umaga ka magpunta around 9am bukas na ibang shop dun. Tips lang sa mga pupunta ng gilmor
1. magpaquote muna kayo ng bubuuhin nyo.
2. DONT TELL THEM EXACTLY YUN BUDGET NA HAWAK NYO. Reason: kasi hindi mo na mapapaba yun presyo ng build mo kung alam nila budget mo.
3. Magtyaga na mag pa quote s mga shop ng specs ng build nyo para ma compare nyo yun price.
4. Pag nakapili na kayo at nagpabuo alamin nyo yun warranty policy nila.
5. Magpainstall kayo ng demo na OS para makita nyo agad kung my problema sa nabuo nyo.
6. Kung my videocard ang build mo pa burn in test mo sa kanila using futuremark. Example lang sa Foxconn n shop pwede mo pa burn in test yun vc mo. Isa din ito way para malaman mo agad na hindi defective yun vcard mo.
7. Pang huli bumili ka na may kasama kasi bitbitin mo yun mga box ng mga ginamit mo na parts. Keep it for warranty.

base sa mga benchmark na nakita ko mabilis talaga uminit amd. Simple reason dito eh un design ng heatsink at fan ng amd and intel

amd heatsink half the size of intel heatsink

amd fan is 80mm fan while intel has 90mm fan

dun palang justified na yun difference nila without benchmark.

ok napu yan sir..kaso ung mga 15k 1gig lang ang ram, mukhang bitin ata to eh,,tapos ung 20k plus naman eh sablay ung vc pero ok nadin..kung ako tatanungin dun nalang ako sa 14,900 tapos bibilhan ko ng mas magandang vc at ram na 4gig..ok na..,,

tama si spy_ni_globo dun kana sa 14,900 upgrade mo nalang yun ram at vcard mo.

PCI-E na gpu sir, DDR3 - DDR5, 1gig or 512mb, ati or nvidia, pwedeng pwede sa build mu.

example:
PC HD5770 1gb ddr5 hdmi
GTX460 OC 1gb ddr5 750mhz

san po magandang store mamili sa gilmore, sa pcexpress lang po kasi ako nakakuha ng pricelist at medyo may kamahalan..hindi dumikit sa mga price list na andito..:help:

up lang para sa tips na 'to, very helpful..base on experience, i recommend PcHub shop sa Gilmore..
