[ADVISE] Help in Assembling/Building/Choosing/Upgrading Your Computer

Hi guys,

I started this thread to help everyone wanting a new computer. All you need to do is post the following:

usage:

other miscellaneous requirements:

*If to be used for gaming,. please indicate the games you wish to play.

The prices i will be using are those that come from major shops in gilmore and also PCexpress and others... The prices will only reflect that of which on the date of my post.

also please put your requests in this format:

please indicate (at least)the size of the hard disk desired, and also what you need/have/prefer.

How to get to Gilmore:
commuting... From EDSA get on the MRT to Cubao and take the other train and get off at Gilmore station. so easy.
driving... Via aurora is the easiest way from EDSA. anyway, just ask na lang cos i dunno where you'll be coming from.

Hi. Please help me buy a computer for my son. He will be using it mainly for school and some games. He likes to play Dota and L4D. Our budget for the PC would be 20K. We already have a printer, monitor and speakers. Our monitor is a 17" CRT monitor. My son said he prefers 1gb video card.

Guys im planning to change my video card and add 2gb ram ddr2.

-2gb ram ddr2
-8500gt 2gb

Sir, I currently have a 500W with my current setup (it's in the signature). I would like to ask if I should stay with my current PSU (iMaster Pro 500) or upgrade to an FSP HPN 600w 85+ PSU or FSP HPN 700w 85+ PSU.

If not, what should I get? The 600W or the 700W? P350 lang naman kasi yung difference nila. Hehehe.

High end specs dapat high end din psu mo sir. Kunin mo corsair (except vs series), xfx, seasonic psu. Minimum 600w.

over the budget na yung mga nakikita ko sa net na mga laptops for CAD/Gaming.

Hi sir, puede na po ba to? Aerocool StrikeX 600W Modular 80+ Bronze or Corsair GS700 700w CMPSU-700GS Power Supply (around 3.5k-4k sila)? Available po ba siya sa mga store at SM? Medyo malayo po Gilmore from my location, saan po ba alternative shops besides Gilmore?

Patulong naman please kung papano mag-add ng HDD. May dalawang 250GB na installed gusto ko sana magdagdag pa ng 1TB kaso 2 lang yung power sata cables na connected sa PSU pero may 4 na HDD slots sa motherboard. :noidea:

Plus, hindi na po ako magco-Crossfire, but gusto ko po magdagdag ng additional hard drives in the future, okay na po ba yung 600w? I'm running on a single 500GB HDD lang po as of now.

Mukang mas maganda nga po yang Seasonic, sir. Mas mura pa and mas mataas ng 20W compared sa Corsair GS600. Thanks sir!

What PSU are you using? Generic ba yan?
I suggest you change first to a branded PSU, either 500W-600W na Corsair, etc.

From there we can tell if what GPU we can put under your specs

There is not much difference when using HDD drives, unless you use SSD

Western Digital Black is a good one though. This would be around ~3k.

Sir vortex 600w di na kasi naikot yung gpu fan tapos ang mahal pa nung coolers parang mas sulit kung palitan ko na lang buo
