Hi guys,

I started this thread to help everyone wanting a new computer. All you need to do is post the following:
Code:
budget:
usage:

other miscellaneous requirements:

*If to be used for gaming,. please indicate the games you wish to play.

The prices i will be using are those that come from major shops in gilmore and also PCexpress and others... The prices will only reflect that of which on the date of my post.

also please put your requests in this format:

Processor:
Motherboard:
RAM:

Video Card:

Hard Drive:
Optical Drive:

Power Supply:
Casing:

monitor:

Accessories:

please indicate (at least)the size of the hard disk desired, and also what you need/have/prefer.

Thanks.

How to get to Gilmore:
commuting... From EDSA get on the MRT to Cubao and take the other train and get off at Gilmore station. so easy.
driving... Via aurora is the easiest way from EDSA. anyway, just ask na lang cos i dunno where you'll be coming from.

An example post would be as follows:
Hi. Please help me buy a computer for my son. He will be using it mainly for school and some games. He likes to play Dota and L4D. Our budget for the PC would be 20K. We already have a printer, monitor and speakers. Our monitor is a 17" CRT monitor. My son said he prefers 1gb video card.

Thank you.

heto modified recommendation ko from page 3333
CPU: i7 8700k = 20400
mobo: Gigabyte GA-Z370XP-SLI = 9600
RAM: Gskill Trident Z 16GB Dual DDR4 3200 = 9200
SSD: Samsung 960 Evo M.2 250GB NVME = 6950
HDD: Western Digital Caviar Blue 2TB = 3600
GPU: Gigabyte GTX 1070 G1 Gaming 8gb = 24790
CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i V2 Liquid Cooling = 5490
PSU: Seasonic G-750 750Watts 80Plus Gold = 5350
Case: Phanteks P400 Eclipse (3700) or NZXT S340 (3950)

total without peripherals = 89,330

peripherals are arguably based on personal preference :noidea:
you can spend as much or as little as you want

sa mechanical keyboards there are different switches and form factors... i would recommend that you try them out first before deciding which device you should buy...
ikaw, baka gusto mo either razer or corsair. marami pang ibang brand kaya better research first before buying one.

monitor, medyo masakit ang high end monitors. lalo na kung gagamitin mo for video editing which would need a high quality IPS panel that can support 30bit color depth and sRGB color profile. pero kung di mo naman bread and butter yan at gagamitin for professional video editing, yung mga decent 1440p or 4k IPS monitors should do. di ko rin alam kung importante sayo ang 144hz at dynamic refresh rate for fast paced gaming.

anyways, you still have around 30k of budget for your peripherals

Re: [ADVISE]Help you build/choose a Computer

SSD and 8 GB RAM lang request niya.

Salamat! :salute:

33k r5 1600 build
CPU: Ryzen 5 1600 = 11040
Mobo: MSI B350m Bazooka = 4850
RAM: Gskill 8gb 2400mhz = 3950 (pataas na ng pataas ang presyo ng RAM)
GPU: Palit gtx 1050 2gb = 5750 (tumaas din to ng 100)
SSD: WD Green 120gb = 2900 (ang mahal ng 240/250gb... +4k na)
PSU: Seasonic S12ii 520w = 2850 (last year nasa 2650 lang to)
Case: Thermaltake Versa H15 windowed = 1850

Total = 33,190

pwede ka magdagdag ng 1tb HDD from either WD (2350) or seagate (2390) which totals to 35,540 or 35,580

a few other notes to consider:
  • cheaper mobo.. a gigabyte ab350m-hd3 (4500) pero 2 lang ram slots kaya ram expansion will be very limited.
  • cheaper ram sticks from adata... pero 2133mhz lang... pwede mo dual channel (Adata 4GB DDR4 2133 = 1850 x 2)
  • wala ng hdd pero palit ng samsung 850evo 250gb (4950)
  • cheaper case maybe :noidea:

Motherboard: MSI B250M Pro VDH - 4030
Ram: 4gb ddr4 2400 G.Skill Aegis - 2590

What do you think about this build? (pacheck nalang po ng attachment)

View attachment 330875

Build is already M.2, Additional Storage of 1TB WD 7200rpm. Mobo, i think is future proof? (slight idea lang since AMD cpu's are expected to be at 3yrs life expectancy ..or until maglabas sila ng newer cpu) so settled for i think 2 years or less. Cooling system upgrade ready.

worth it ba? by the way total build including monitors and other peripherals is yung nasa bottom, roughly 70k. If there is something that needed to be changed, I'am all ears for suggestions. PC build purpose is for gaming (Tomb Raider, Battlefield 1 etc.), lots of multi tasking, rendering and Cad works

comments and suggestions:
CPU: stick to the cheaper R5 1600 instead. they're basically the same... sabi nila better binned daw ang may mga X pero typically they just achieve the same OC speed. also, walang cpu cooler na kasama ang mga "X" na ryzen kaya dagdag gastos ulit... na wala rin sa build mo.
Mobo: kung wala kang balak mag-SLI, better stick with a cheaper B350 chipset instead. yun lang naman pinagkaiba nila basically eh :noidea:
SSD: hindi pa NVME yan which is around 4x faster than your current choice. Samsung 960 Evo M.2 250GB (6950). kung hindi rin lang mag-NVME, stick to the 2.5" form factor. mas mura at walang problema sa init. samsung 850 evo is still the king.
Case: sorry, pero di ko type case mo. there are other better looking cases from better brands for that amount of money. Corsair carbide 88r for the same price. tecware titan din... local brand pero very decent build and style.

monitor: LG 23MP68VQ (7.7k) mas malaki at pogi pa
keyboard: hhhmmm... i don't know if you've done your research pero better do it before buying this. though original cherry mx switch sya, meron ka na bang preferred switch type (red, blue, brown)? pero the price of this is quite good for an original cherry mx. for cheaper alternative, merong redragon, rakk, tecware.
case fan: corsair sp120 for 3.6k? :panic: dami ata at masyadong malaki budget mo para dyan. merong mga mura that basically does the same. atsaka pwede na siguro 2 extra lang... dagdag 1 for intake atsaka 1 for exhaust. usually naman may kasama na ang case na 1 intake eh.

Thanks for this sir themonyo!

hard disk or ssd

make sure pala na may kasamang cpu fan with heatsink yung package. dagdag gastos pa kung wala :slap:

finally, monitor, keyboard at mouse

Alright sir!
