Hi guys,

I started this thread to help everyone wanting a new computer. All you need to do is post the following:
Code:
budget:
usage:

other miscellaneous requirements:

*If to be used for gaming,. please indicate the games you wish to play.

The prices i will be using are those that come from major shops in gilmore and also PCexpress and others... The prices will only reflect that of which on the date of my post.

also please put your requests in this format:

Processor:
Motherboard:
RAM:

Video Card:

Hard Drive:
Optical Drive:

Power Supply:
Casing:

monitor:

Accessories:

please indicate (at least)the size of the hard disk desired, and also what you need/have/prefer.

Thanks.

How to get to Gilmore:
commuting... From EDSA get on the MRT to Cubao and take the other train and get off at Gilmore station. so easy.
driving... Via aurora is the easiest way from EDSA. anyway, just ask na lang cos i dunno where you'll be coming from.

An example post would be as follows:
Hi. Please help me buy a computer for my son. He will be using it mainly for school and some games. He likes to play Dota and L4D. Our budget for the PC would be 20K. We already have a printer, monitor and speakers. Our monitor is a 17" CRT monitor. My son said he prefers 1gb video card.

Thank you.

Gigabyte GA-B450M-DS3H AM4 Motherboard = 23,800
AMD AM4 Socket Ryzen 5 2600 Processor
Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4-2666 16gb Desktop Memory 2x8gb
Deep Cool D-Shield V2 Casing
Deep Cool DA600 600watts PSU

VS

total price: 27,450

Processor . AMD Ryzen 5 2600 PHP 10550.00
MSI B450M Mortar Titanium Socket Php 5,800
T.Force Delta RGB 16GB (8GBx2) 3000 Black
TF3D416G3000HC16BDC01 PHP 5600.00
Seasonic M12ii 620 watts Fully Modular Php 3950
Tecware Nexus M TG Black 3x120mm, USB3 PHP 1550.00

boss ano mas worth it bilhin? malaki ba difference nila sa performance. may existing na ako palit gtx1050 ti 4gb and monitor ko. aoc 15.6" lang for now pero plan ko din magupgrade pero baka matagal pa. medyo malaki price diff nilang 2. kaya paadvise naman kung ano mas ok sa 2.

Ok na yung first option sir. palitan nyo lang yung ram to 3000mhz or 3200mhz kasi ryzen procie yan and ryzen processors are known to perform better with high speed rams. so the higher the ram speed, the better. Also, you might want to switch psus and go for the seasonic m12ii 600w. I haven't heard anything bad naman about deepcool psus but seasonic kasi ang kilala na reliable.

in terms of performance, almost the same lang yan. lamang lang ng konti yung mortar titanium sa features and aesthetics.

I think I have a spare 1030 here but I am not sure how much is your budget. I typically sell my used components at 60% the original price.

:off::10:

at base sa napanood kong guide, most games already have linux ports

i'm using Manjaro KDE distro which directly supports Nvidia drivers  sa Ubuntu, di ko napagana install yung nvidia drivers.. mali ata nasundan kong guide
AMD gpu's have no problem sa linux kasi opensource talaga drivers nila

give it a try minsan at baka matuwa kayo

edit: most linux distros have a LiveCD version na pwede subukan muna yung OS without installation sa HDD.

pwede rin naman kung 1030. i found a benchmark video in youtube on the carrizo A8-7680 + igpu running apex legends.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t9-My0wpBe8

If you pair the A8-7680 with the 1030 there will be a slight improvement in performance pero IMO, baka hindi naman ganun kalaki, so baka hindi rin worth it? Baka mas ok pa to just stick to the igpu for now and then pag may konting budget na, upgrade to a 1050ti. :D

I just checked the dimensions for both the 2070 gaming z and the cougar qbx. Maximum graphics card length is 350mm for the Cougar QBX. Length ng MSI gtx 2070 gaming z is 295mm... so it should fit.

salamat ng marami sir sa confirmation,

may nakita po kasi ako sa isang post from another country na ung msi gtx 1070 nya is hindin nagfit in terms of width, prang kailangan pa daw na idremel ung case para maipasok ung gpu. considering na sana mas maliit ung width ng msi rtx 2070 compared sa msi gtx 1070.

thanks ulit sir

welcome po.

dimensions ng cougar qbx is 384 length x 178 width x 291 height (mm)

rtx 2070 gaming z dimensions are 295 length x 140 width x 56 height (mm)

Also, I checked pcpartspicker for a list of compatible video cards sa qbx mini itx case, and the rtx 2070 gaming z 8gb is included in it. So... dapat magkasya. hehehe

Pa-advise po mga paps...please bear with me kc di po ako well-versed sa technical aspect ng computer.

E2 po details and specs ng laptop ko:

HP Pavilion DV3-2108tu
Windows 7 Ultimate
Service Pack 1
Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU P8700 @2.53GHz 2.53 GHz
RAM: 1.00 GB
32-bit Operating System

Drives: Partitioned
C: 55.4 free of 97 GB
D: 82.8 free of 200 GB

Do I need to free more space sa drives?

Much appreciated.

* for both builds, you can change the gpu to a 2060 pero mag-o-over na ng konti sa 50k, though pwede rin naman. :)

GPU: Palit GeForce GTX 1050

More on office works but medyo gamer din. Max budget is 25K.

Proc: Intel Core i3-8100 3.60Ghz 4 Cores/ 4 threads Coffeelake

Nabawasan budget, nanganak si misis Hehe.. Baka sakaling makatipid pag AMD..

Ahhh kung mas okay yun sige hintay muna ako at ipon salamat po!

Here are the dimensions:

Tecware Quad dimensions: L 360 x W 270 x H 335 mm
300mm - max gpu card length
180mm - max cooler height
160mm - max psu length

gigabyte 1660ti windforce OC: L 264.9 x W 120.58 x H 40.41 mm
Deepcool Gammaxx 400 white: L 135 x W 80 x H 154.5 mm
FSP Raider II 650w - L 150 × L 140 × H 86 mm

Ok na naman po ang tecware quad, it's a good quality case for its price. Personally, I prefer the Inwin A1 or the corsair carbide air 240 pero both are in the expensive end na eh. So I'd only recommend both if you have extra cash to spare.

Hhhmmm... Now that i've read it again, meron na raw sya monitor...

wala

besides, locked naman ang multiplier ng cpu mo... hindi naman mag-overheat yan. kung stock cooler lang gamit mo, there are CPU coolers na less than 2k pero delivers solid performance both cooling and acoustics.
