:hello: Hello Everyone!

Since napa grant na yung Networking forum natin, we could now free to discuss any networking concepts. But on this thread, we'll just exclusively discuss the world of CISCO networking para ma organize yung topic on per network vendors in just one thread. We could create another thread naman for another vendor, diba? Do what you want, it's a free country but in an organized way.

Thread Objectives:
1.) To let each individuals especially those who interested on this topic to discuss the various concepts on every protocol of CISCO networks, to collaborate with each other from what do they had experience or meet problems technically on this particular field and free to share their technical knowledge, ideas and could provide resolution with every member concerns.

2.) To enlighten each individuals on which concepts of particular part of protocol that they don't technically well understand, which we can deliver to them the explanation of concept as much as possible through a layman's term way.

Restrictions:
1.) No posting of tutorials since discussion thread ito it will be totally sure na matatakpan lang po yung tutorial niyo sa simultaneous comments na magaganap. Kung intensyon niyo gumawa ng tutorial feel free to create another thread para atleast mas searchable.

2.) For students, kindly do not request any assignment/projects on this thread especially on configuring the entire network from scratch which based on your needs. I'm aware na credited na ngaun ang CISCO sa mga IT courses ngayon, hindi naman masama ang mag request pero atleast maganda rin kung natuto din tayo kung paano gawin yan at kung may part na naguguluhan ka then feel free to ask here in discussions. Anyway, kung may request man meron naman tayo Network Zone Request section under Network Zone forum dito sa Symbianize Community na pwede ka magpost or address mo na lang sa individual user thru Private Messaging.

3.) Regarding to make the discussions more sense, I would remind everybody na kung may katanungan man o concern, kindly deliver it more detailed. For example, if you will ask "What is EIGRP, OSPF, RIP or etc." If you just think of it mataas taas na usapan yan, you will let individuals get pressure kung paano niya simulan ang pagsagot niyan or natutugma ba yung sagot niya based sa part na gusto mo malaman. To make the discussions briefly and para masagot kaagad ang katanungan/concern mo, please ask politely if what particular part sa isang protocol na gusto mong malaman o gustong ma-enlighten na concept. I would suggest also na magbasa din ng CISCO documents pag may time ngayon kung tingin niyo talagang naguguluhan kayo sa isang particular part na yan then feel free to ask here.

4.) Ofcourse, in behalf of Symbianize Forum rules, bawal magpost ng spam, out of topic, duplicate post(please watch out), bad words and arguments. Peace lang po tayo and be professional.

Allowed:
1.) Pwede kayo magpost dito if you're recently passed into any CISCO licensure exam. :celebrate: (Pero dapat honest ka ha )

2.) Pwede kayo magpost ng configuration dito even including network diagram para mas detailed at ma figure out kaagad based sa objectives na kinakailangan ng network mo. Take note lang talaga sa requisition of assignments/projects that will configure from scratch, that is really prohibited to post on this thread. Kung may parang kulang or naguguluhan ka sa configurations and design kahit pa project/assignment mo yan basta nasimulan mo na or patapos na sana pero may sablay then feel free to address your concern here.

4.) Feel free to post your inquires, question and concerns on every fields of CISCO networking. May mga various type of level na ang CISCO ngayon, meron dyan for Routing and Switching, Voice, Security, Wireless and Service Provider.

Note: I'll just remind everybody na kung meron man sa mga katanungan ng members kung basic or advanced pa yan depende sa type of level na hindi agad masasagot, kindly the member who asked for that please let's just not insist or expect right away from anyone to answer your question kasi every individuals have set of skills, depends sa level of knowledge kung hanggang saan na napaga-aralan nila, may mga hindi pa na eexperience that type of technical problems. Kaya be patience na lang tayo, okay? Malay mo may papasyal na CCIE dito na alam na alam lahat or matagal na nagtatrabaho sa networking job field kumbaga experts na.

For example, Cisco Router ko serves as a VPN Server and I have this client will actually want to connect to this VPN server then ofcourse Windows XP system niya. Now how would he/she connect to it. So pwede yung ganon ha pero strictly for those system who are relatively connection with Cisco Equipments.

Wala nako maisip pang iba. But then review muna natin bago ko ilagay sa existing details ko.

REMINDERS:
- With regards sa configuration and network diagram, Kung sakali full configuration ang e post mo please paste niyo na lang sa notepad file and attach mo na lang sa message mo para mas organized. Thanks! :)

So ngayon mga symbianizers SIMULAN NYO NA MAGTIPON! :excited:

Actually, I'm just waiting for the symbianize staffs and admin to approved itong network forum zone para atleast meron tayong freedom mag discuss regarding sa networks. I've seen other existing threads regarding CISCO but mostly nagpopost lang sila ng learning materials. In despite of that, itong thread na ito was designed for collaboration or considered to be brainstorming sa mga aspirants and interested sa topic na ito however may guidelines ako sa first post to avert complexity inside the thread. MAGTITIPON tayo dito. Feel free to share your knowledge, ideas, problems and inquiries. See you around. :)

Depende sa features ng type of router na yan kung may QoS function/option siya embedded inside the configuration. Much preferrably kung pwede siya mag match per source and destination ip addresses para easily ma filter ung traffic at malimit ang bandwidth na pwede lang sa kanya. Anyway, sa model type ng router pinost mo which is linksys e1000 black router, i bet SOHO type router yan which is designed ni linksys na partner na din ni Cisco. For Enterprise Cisco routers, merong huge capabilites siya ng QoS mechanisms na binanggit ko matching per source and destination ip address and assign a bandwidth on it.. However, try to look also inside the configurations of that linksys router kung may option ba siya for QoS baka magawaan natin ng paraan :)

Wrong thread ba to @ts huehue wala kasing mapaglalagyan tong topic .networking...

networking student here, and currently studying VLSM, question, na gagamit ba talaga ito in real-life?
or more on maintaning nalang ng network ginagawa kasi naka setup na siya pag pumasok ka sa isang company.

may subject kami nito, dami requirements haha

merun siya pero naka-attached yun picture

try ku enabled tapos priority ku nalang yun connect sa kanya
tapos kbps nakalagay (nag prompt) anu kaya maganda ilagay dito?:help:
using wifi gusto ku kase priority yun cell ku sa kanila normal
pate din yun pc paanu kaya hatian?:help:

yes magagamit yan. lalo n pag need magadd ng workstations at lumagpas s limit ng previous subnet n nka configure

I guess VLSM is applicable ito in a real life situation. Like in the scenario of expansion of branch (point-to-point), lets say u'r company purchase a /28 public IP address then 6 of it's usable host are already in use in your current network. By using VLSM you can expand you branch by using /28 or /30. without purchasing another set of public IP's.

Kindly correct me, if i'm wrong.

Ano po ba ibig sabihin niyo?

Actually both of your insights does make sense, depende din kasi sa design and size ng network ng isang company. Mostly may gumagamit nito kasi aware ang company na may massive expansion and hiring a lot of employees in the future kaya inii scale nila mabuti yung pagdidistribute ng ip addresses and for best design na din. Meron din companies like sa amin.. which is gumagamit lang ng Class A private addresses at walang VLSM..pipili lng ng isang subnet.. so depende nga yun sa needs ng network niyo in real life. Kung sa tingin nyo aabot ng over millions ang employees ng isang company in real life then using VLSM methods would be more applicable. :)

As I've seen your router QoS configuration. its only capable to filter different types of application and assign a bandwidth for that particular application pero yung needs mo na per user restricting the bandwidth mukhang wala ata siya features nun.

Regarding port forwarding pwede yan..naka static public ka ba? pag naka static public ka.. pwede yan then define the ports kung ano e poport forward mo na need mo access from outside networks. :)

very useful ung vlsm bro, lalo na sa pg assign mo ng mga ip kapag nka.vlan ka sa cmpny mo, also useful sa framerelay ung vlsm :)
