I agree with him naman, hindi ko rin naman passion yong accountancy so i decided na computer engineering nalang since i have experiences with websites making at interesado din ako. I earned $31k noon kaya napaisip ako may potential na mas malaki pa kikitain ko kung mas may knowledge ako sa softwares, websites and other related stuff baka ma apply ko to sa future if i'll have more knowledge with these things lalo na yong SEO.

So my questions are:

Ano pong mga magandang career path ng computer engineering aside sa nabanggit kong potential? Yong hindi sa online.

In demand pa ba ang computer engineering?

Magkano po sahod nyo sa simula as a computer engineer?

Just leave your questions below baka may sasagot rin. Salamat!

- AI

In demand pa ba ang computer engineering? Depende sa industry na sa papasukin mo. In demand ngayon ang Cloud Engineering at AI

Magkano po sahod nyo sa simula as a computer engineer? Depende sa position at industry.

Ano pong kailangan/dapat/magandang pag-aralan/review bago mag umpisa ang 1st semester sa 1st year? Algebra at Trinogometry.

Assembly / Machine Language. Madugo ito.

I am graduate of Computer Engineering, pero ang pinili kong industry ay GIS - Remote Sensing at Data Science. Hindi naman kalakihan ang sahod. Pero dito ako masaya, hindi ako masyadong na-prepresure, at higit sa lahat, nag-eenjoy ako sa work ko.

Salamat po.

May nabasa ako sa ibang thread, na ang requirements needed daw ng company are not being taught in the university?

- Full Stack Developer
- Network Engineer

Can you elaborate those two po? Like what does a full stack developer do specially in our country?

- Full Stack Developer
- Network Engineer

full stack dev... handles/kaya both front-end and back-end dev... prang one man team... sa network engineer nman pagnaririnig ko 'to unang pumapsok sa isip ko ay anything na related sa Cisco...

Go for Computer Science or Information Technology. No offense sa mga Computer Engineer, Pero being a graduate of Computer Engineering doesn't actually make you an engineer, the first year may mga drafting pa rin yan, drawing drawing, design ng PCB etc, Pero believe me, in reality you really can't manufacture your own hardware kasi merong yang Global standards na sinusuod from IEEE, even the DIYs project that you will see often use readily made boards like arduinos etc. Sa category mo pag nag apply ka ng work you will rank same as computer related course, IT, CS, IS, ComEng, all have the same ranking. Sa work, ang trabaho mo when it comes to anything related to hardware is to learn the standards, and troubleshooting. Hindi ka maghihinang or mag gagawa ng device mo, the hardware are all designed to be modular, replaceable, you don't literally fix a broken parts, but you will troubleshoot and make sure the proper hardware is faulty and replace it with something that is compatible minimizing the losts. Kung system engineer ka naman, again you are just utilizing whatever technology is available as find it suitable as a solution for a specific needs. You are not inventing or reinventing anything, walang engineering dun na involve but more on knowing the problem and utilizing the available tech as a solution. Same sa network engineer, ang designing at planning an napaka basic, usually sa structured networking lang, linya2 ng wires, san ilalagay mga Access Points, servers, mga ganun, pero again you don't build stuff on your own, you are utilizing the existing technology and applying it kasi yun ang kinakailangan sa sitwasyon. Kung software engineer ka naman dun papasok yung pagiging freeman mo, like you build everything from scratch, although meron rin naman mga programming standards na sinusunod, pwede mong hindi sundin yun kung ayaw mo, basically you are free to do whatever you wanna do. May engineering ba dun? Sort of, sa planning, pero believe me, isa akong programmer with years and years of experiences, pero hindi ko kelan man nakahiligan ang math. Maniwala ka man sakin or hindi, you don't need to become good at math in order to become a good programmer. Alamin mo ang differences between Discrete Math and continuous Math. Hindi ko sinasabi na walang math na involve sa programming, you cannot completely remove that, pero it's more on knowing the discrete rather than continuous, Programming languages are called languages for a reason, not Programming mathematics, they exists to fill the instructional and communication gap between humans and computer, computer rin ang tawag sa computer kasi nga they compute, sila ang gumagawa ng math, focus on the discrete and give the machine something to compute.

If gusto mong mabilis maka-graduate, you can take IT or Computer Science. Mas kaunti ang mathematics na involved.
But if you want to learn in a hard way, try Computer Engineering. Pero let me remind you na, marami syang mathematics na kasama.
Computer Engineering involves both hardware and software.
If you want to pursue Robotics or AI, kailangan mo ng engineering knowledge doon.
Mas madaling gumawa ng prototype or robots from scratch which involves circuitry if may engineering background ka (particularly sa electrical/electronics).
Kailangan kasing i-quantify ang system requirements and/or do simulations para ma-test ang ginagawang system.
At the same time, pwede kang gumagawa ng OS or applications na tailored-fit para dito.
