Poem Conflagration

Conflagration

Destiny binds us together,
But faith keep us apart
For I am a sword that belongs to a serpent
And you are a shield that came from above

I was born from a blazing fire,
To pierce someone’s heart,
For I am a weapon of a sinner who knows nothing of God

From midgard to valhalla I roamed,
As I brought a pool of blood gushing thru time, For my only wish is oblivion as decades goes by

Solely waited in darkness I saw a bright light,
It was your hand reaching
What burrowed inside
For I am a tool of devastation,
A blade forged for the serpent

Unable to resist,
You held me tight,
Told me to be at your side
Knowing that I’m a menace covered in blood
Pestilence is what I've become

Putting your faith to the faithless is what you did,
Telling me stories about a God who accept sinners,
For they pay for their own sins by accepting what they've done

You taught me to praise your God
So I did inch by inch it became a part of me
Allowing faith to enlighten emptiness from deep within

A beginning of new phase
A new life is where we're headed,
To a place you called nirvana

Having doubts for still I am a sinner
You mourne by my side and pray for the souls I’ve taken

Looking for a new purpose in life,
We head towards a paradise
As we envision felicity as our God provides.
