Ang mga Licensed Electrical Engineer & Mechanical Engineer po ay pwedeng kumuha ng Brdging Program para Marine Engineer. 5 months study po upang makakuha ng Associate in Marine Engineering + 12 months Seagoing Service (Aprrenticeship) para makamit ang Bachelors Degree.
It's your choice na kung kukuha ka ng Board Exam para maging ganap na Marine Engineer or magpatuloy nalang bilang isang Electrician sa Barko.

Bridging Program

In accordance with the pertinent provisions of Republic Act (RA) No. 7722 otherwise known as the "Higher Education Act of 1994," and by virtue of Resolution No. 640-2005 of the Commission en banc dated November 7, 2005, - during its 2615t CEB meeting, the following guidelines for the implementation of the bridging program of the BS Mechanical Engineering (BSME), and the BS Electrical Engineering (BSEE) to the Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering (BSMarE) program are hereby adopted and promulgated by the Commission.

Rationale and Background. This Bridging Program for the BS Mechanical Engineering and BS Electrical Engineering to BS Marine Engineering program started when Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA) reported to Department of Transportation and Communication (DOTC) that there was a lack of qualified marine officers and recommended that there should be a Special Program to qualify mechanical engineers for the Licensure Examination as Marine Engineer Officers. This idea was recommended to CHED for consideration. Hence, the Commission reviewed the existing curricula of BSME and BSEE and compared these to the BSMarE curriculum. The Technical Working Group in Engine together with the qualified technical experts from the academe, industry, professional organizations, government concerned agencies including Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) and other stakeholders undertook the Development and revision, making sure that the national standards and STCW requirements are incorporated. It has also undergone further review by the members of the Technical Panel for Maritime Education (TPME), Task Force on Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering of CHED, before it was recommended to the Commission through the Office of Programs and Standards for issuance to the maritime institutions for implementation.

Good Luck po sa Board Exam Sir... As of now sir, hindi mo pa kelangan mag kuha ng Solas o kahit na anong training since mag eexam palang po kayo for your BSEE license. Ang unahin niyo nalang po is kung saang Maritime School ka mkakapasok ng BRIDGING PROGRAM. Pwede na po kumuha napo kayo ng Passport, ang NBI po ang isa sa mga requirement sa passport.

mga sir/maam.. patulong naman po, back to school kc ako 3yrs na stop sa skul d2 sa MSU-GSC, pero 5th year na aq sa BSEE.. need q lang po idea sa pwedeng i.thesis, mdyo nkalimutan q na ang mga na skuil q dati kc.. hirap mag back to skul na walang kakilala... sana po may ma share kau na ideas... nka usap q kc ung prof namin, sabi nya magbigay ng 10 ideas...tsaka wag daw ung program kc di daw pang electrical, more on circuits and energy daw po like magnetic, kinetic, thermo electric etc....
aq na po bahala sa research... salamat po...

may nakita pala aq sa news mron plang pressure type pra mka produce ng enrgy, saan p kaya pwede yun magagamit, asyde sa sapatos?? ideas po pls... ty ty ty
