Freelancer / WFH - Anong work mo?

Sa mga kasymb natin jan na work from home / freelancer.

Flex nyo naman kung anong work or job position nyo.

Ilan ang clients at ilang digits ang salary. ;-)

Hi! Software Engineer here FullStack Nodejs, ReactJS, React-Native, and NextJS for almost 4 years. Work from anywhere, employed in Singapore and currently in PH but will soon relocate to another country (without the need to resign from my current job).

My advice to you guys is to find your niche and focus on it. All skills can be learned as long as you have the right mindset. The fastest way is the slowest so always find a way to learn and improve your skills and do not give up no matter how boring it might get. Our lives are agile so expect the hardest challenge and always be fluid to adapt. Changes are inevitable but make sure to keep your target locked on one certain goal while having a backup plan.

Have a great night Fellow Symbianizers! It's good to be back! (y)

Hoping to be a software engineer kahit HS Grad lang ako. Currently, 2 full-time job ko (tech support specialist engineer for a SaaS company tapos Tech support rep for a Consumer Electronics Company) Puyat pero unti unting nakakaipon ng experience and funds(6 digits and combined salary:-))

Freelancer/Self-employed or whatever you call means FREEDOM! But it won't be like a walk in the park especially if sanay kayo mag-work sa labas. Freelancing also means, REQUIRING MORE TIME to get that decent pay since your employment is not the same as the corporate/outside world. Though you may be equiped with the trainings and certificates sometimes it may not be enough. I was an online ESL teacher turned CSR>TSR, I was working office-based from 2010-2020, then pandemic hit and all of us forced to work from home. (even my office-based company was forced to go WFH) left my office based job and enrolled to this VA course [with internship] online, took it for 2 months, got certified. I applied on Indeed, browsed jobs, applied here and there, hanngang sa na hire sa isang direct client for a CSR post, eventually trained for Sales na ren. Recently, I applied on OLJ as VA (as YT channel mngr) pay was decent, partime lang naman. To make it short, kapain mo yung mga skills na meron ka now, anong meron ka na complimentary sa pwede mong aralin na course sa freelancing, then work on your way up there.

Nag work kasi ako sa Singapore before and dahil sa pandemic napa uwi ako ng Pinas. Kinuha ako ng company ko to work for them kahit andito na sa Pinas and I am working at the comfort of my home since 2020. Telco company sya sa SG and more on emails, system and account modifications trabaho ko sa company.

Ako naman ay isang freelance pero hindi pa fulltime but I am planning to do it in a fulltime base kasi mas marami pang zero digits na kinikita ko sa freelancing job ko versus my corporate job right now as an HR Practitioner for 5 years now in my present employer sa isa rin na malaking corporation dito sa bansa natin.

PS. One best practice na itinuro sa amin during my studying time sa The OU ay gumawa ng LinkedIn Profile at ilatag lahat ng credentials, trainings and seminars including relevant experiences dahil isa iyon na hinahanap at nalalagay sa algorithm ng LinkedIn para mataas ang Discovery Rate mo sa mga Search ng LinkedIn.

As of now, naka hiatus muna ako since ang Canadian employer ko ay lilipat sila ng operations sa Australia and planning to relocate me sa Brisbane, Australia.

TIP: Now matter how boring and draining during your learning process, BAWAL ANG TAMAD.

Lastly, YOUTUBE Tutorials is for FREE.

Thank you.

Digital Marketer - 5 years (focus mainly on SEO, Web Development, Paid Ads, Email Marketing, and CRMS setup)
Currently on a 6 figure monthly income. Looking to build a 7 figure agency.

Nung nagstart ako magfreelance under a Marketing Agency kaya I and I learned a lot from my mentor. For starters look for digital marketing agencies or coaches. Para makakuha kayo ng free trainings and upskilling bago kayo magniche down sa gusto nyo talagang skillset.
I started at 3usd per hr and now I charged as high as 25usd/hr
