Give me enough reason why macbook is a good buy?

1.) If you love designing whether its photo or video editing Mac gives you an advantage. (e.g When you are editing a large tarpaulin in photoshop mas smooth sya kesa sa PC and also it has retina display mas mataas ang ppi or pixel per inch kesa sa ibang laptop kaya tlang sulit ang pano2od mo ng video.)
2.) Syempre the aesthetics that is one factor why many love mac because of its minimalistic design.
3.) The hardware as what i've said in no. 1 no doubt that the machine is one of the most advance hardware.
4.) Its O.S or Operating System as you notice why are there no or mostly no user of MAC complains about viruses you can assure that you files are kept secured and also the interface is much more easy to use than microsoft or any other O.S that why many company are using it nowadays.
5.) And lastly because of the society more high class and some middle class people are using it. It becomes a status symbol.

Apple user here, i think ang mga nagcomment dito mostly are Windows users, so mahirap icompare kung wala kang first hand experience. I'll list ung mga alam kong advantages ng Mac over PC.

Also, I think mas matagal madrain ung battery ng Apple based din sa research ko before.

Mac user here. If yung use mo is more on Video Editing, Photo Editing, Audio Editing, etc. so definitely recommended talaga yung Mac. If more on gaming, or casual user ka lang, mag Windows ka nalang.

for me its a less maintenance no need for yearly subscription for anti virus, and high performance.

LOLS may Microsoft Security Essentials naman na built-in sa windows 8 and free for 7 and XP.

i've been a mac user for almost nine years and i have invested on two, yes just two macs in that very long period. my first one the low end 2005 17.5-in iMac. though it's hardware is rather obsolete damn machine still works up to now. the current one i got is 2010 13-in mbp, except from maybe some cosmetic wear, it works exactly like it did back when i bought it three years ago.

It's not about the price, style, design and other center of attraction fictions...

It's about Quality, Stability, Durability, Speed, Application, Operating System, Virus Free and License Free...

You don't need to buy a license for your operating system.
You don't need to worry about the viruses.
You don't need to gradually optimize your system( defragmentation process).

Good application handling.
No license needed to install application.
Thousands of application from one Apps Store. (Not all of the apps are free... Yet you can download from torrents for full version..^_^)
Full Support from Customer Service.

If you don't like Virus and Licenses, but you like the facts above then MAC is good for you...

san mo napulot na virus free mac?
you can't buy the operating system itself but you still pay for it.
good application handling? depends on the application...

obviously you would get full support if you pay premium for a device... even other manufacturers have support...

nice thread but for me PC/windows parin hehehe... mahal kasi masyado pero kung babaan baka mag dadalawang isip ako...

It can go head to head with mac displays. Sony kadalasan may sarili or unique display technology din than other manufacturers. Kaya mejo pricey din. Still you can achieve half the price pa rin on a PC. Napakaraming variety ng Monitor or display manufacturers. you just choose which is the closest specs according to mac displays.

I just recently bought a 17" Macbook Pro with Core i5 processor and I can say that I didn't touched my windows desktop and laptop ever since.

Tip:
If you're gonna use it for gaming and work, there's nothing to regret about buying one.

because it's overpriced and overrated, binayaran mo lang yung name ng apple. ung mga lumang macs hindi rin maupdate sa mavericks...

Minimum requirement for OS X Mavericks:
iMac (Mid 2007 or newer)
MacBook (Late 2008 Aluminum, or Early 2009 or newer)
MacBook Pro (Mid/Late 2007 or newer)
MacBook Air (Late 2008 or newer)
Mac mini (Early 2009 or newer)
Mac Pro (Early 2008 or newer)
Xserve (Early 2009)

---

I think that's pretty good.

I'm a Macbook Air (2013) User here. I did own a Macbook Pro (2009) before. I like using Macs because you need to less maintenance and virtually can live a worry free life - for as long as you're not stupid and click on links that you are not supposed to click.

Most Macs are definitely no gaming machines. Far from it. But if you're into multimedia and stuff like that, for me, it's pretty much a no-brainer.

I have the best of both worlds here, running my Macbook Air. Even with the "underwhelming specs" of Core i5 1.3gHz (Haswell), 4GB RAM, 128SSD I can run my Mac side and my Windows 8 side via Parallels just fine.

For me, for as long as it works, it lasts, and it suits my lifestyle (always on the go) (this Macbook Air is really neat and light to carry around and I do get the advertised 12hrs battery life on occasion).
