GLOBE Globe is implementing "Carrier Grade NAT"

Hello mga ka symb and merry christmas!,

Sa mga naka subscribe sa globe DSL or broadband. Napansin nyo bah na ang na ang binibigay na IP ni Globe is private IP na at hindi na public IP? No matter how many times ka mag disconnect/reconnect sa modem mo, still private IP na ang binibigay nila. (10.xxx.xxx.xxx)

So ano bah ang mga drawbacks ng carrier grade NAT ?:

1.) If you are into gaming, palaging na DC ang game mo
2.) High latency sa games since mas maraming router or HOP ang pupuntahan ng packets mo.
3.) hindi na reliable ang connection mo
4.) More users will be sharing on 1 public IPs so laling babagal ang connection mo
5.) Di ka na mka pag host since private IP na ang binibigay ni Globe
6.) If you want static IP, you will pay P700 per month . (yes P700 para static and thats expensive)
7.) because of Carrier Grade Nat, di muna i-uupgrade ni Globe ang infrastructure nila
8.)Like any form of NAT, it breaks the end-to-end principle.
9.)It has significant security, scalability and reliability problems, by virtue of being stateful.
10.)It makes record keeping for law-enforcement operations more difficult, except if the translation of the addresses is logged.
11.)It makes it impossible to host services.
12.)It does not solve the IPv4 address exhaustion problem when a public IP address is needed, such as in web hosting.


IN SHORT!, lalong kawawa ang mga subscribers, naka Capping na nga dahil sa FUP. Ngayon, nka carreir grade NAT pa! san ka nakakita ng ganyang serbisyo ahaha.. Good luck nlang satin mga globe subscribers..

I actually solved number 1 by simply switching DSL mode from ADSL2+ to G.dmt

Buti na lang quit na ko sa Globe. I've been a loyal Globe dsl subscriber since after dial up days pero after switching to PLDT Fibr, pina disconnect ko na yung Globe ko and has never looked back since. Sakit sa ulo ng Globe. Di bale na magbayad ako ng mahal basta maayos naman yung service.

this has already been implemented last two weeks ago. nag la-lag na ang loading of websites. goodluck naman sa atin! pa disconnect na ng globe! lipat na tau sa PLDT or other telco.

Globe is joke wala silang ginawang matino pwera na lang yung call and text nila.
Mag PLDT o Sky Broaband na lang kayo.

sir pano solution mo ? bumalik ba ip mo sa 120.x.x.x or 180.x.x.x kasi nagtry ako gumamit ng ibang account . connected, but wla syang connection

tol ako nakakapagsnipe ako. kaso pag dinisconnect ko yung legit. at ako na gagamit ng account nila. connected sya with IP 120.x.x.x default gateway 180.x.x.x pero pag nagbrowse na ko. wala syang connection kahit connected sya.

Any Solution ?

tang ina wala na bang 120.x.x.x 180.x.x.x etc. na ip sa globe dsl puta bakit ganun ibig sabihin ba nun mga tol hindi na pang gaming ang dsl net nila... pangit na palang mag lol dun pldt na lang magandang dsl na pang gaming

I had mine set up like this aswell but the IP is still 10.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x..x.xasd as smhklgj b. Sure I don't timeout but I'm forever stuck with Strict NAT in most of the games I play in. And torrent DL is just killing my connection.

Bakit po may ganito kasi on-going po pag-uupgrade nila to LTE nagstart around September yung upgrading(binigay yung decision nung August). 18 Months po ang palugit ng SingTel sa Globe pero kung di magawa within that period, gagawin 2 years pero magtatanggalan ng mga tauhan at ititira yung efficient magtrabaho. Ang di ako sure kung kelan matatapos yang NAT na nagstart around this month(not sure what date). Upgrading are going to major cities as of now (NCR at selected cities of Visayas and Mindanao.)

Wag niyo po ako tanungin bakit ko alam. Di ko rin sasabihin kasi ahihi basta I know some people.

Additional info:
End of WiMax Users is on the way. Meaning di na magagawan ng paraan pagrereconnect/hacking/sniping mac/etc because the "THING" has started few weeks ago. Mararamdaman niyo na lang daw WiMax users.

Same here, I think all subscribers with dynamic IP address will obtain private IP addresses. So what choice do we have? NONE. Good luck to us Globe subscribers.

I don't know pero sa opinyon ko from someone said to me na on the process yung pag-upgrade nila meaning it cant be announced dahil hindi pa oras at hindi pa nagagamit. Wait niyo na lang yung announcement nila which advance niyo ng nalaman sakin. Baka next year ipapaalam na nila sa publiko. SingTel din nagdedecision kaya masusunod talaga sila kung ipapaalam na ba or hindi pa.


If may globe employees na nakakabasa nito. Im sure alam niyo ano sinasabi ko.

Every departments sa Globe may head na taga-Singtel at kung anu yung gusto nila eh yun talaga masusunod kung ayaw niyong masipa hihi pati nga mga 3rd party partners nilang chekwa (HUAWEI) pinapagalitan, pinapatransfer, or worst sinisipa...Globe employees pa kaya? Goodluck guys galingan niyo (to globe employees) para di matanggal. hihi

Kaya pala ang taas na ng ping ko dati 40-50ms ngayon 90-150ms na..
Di na tuloy ako makapag online games dahil dito

Di na talaga ayos ginagawa ng globo sa internet subscriber nila nag babayad naman tayo ng ayos pero pilit nilang sinisira serbisyo nila.

Ou nga eh, sayang walang ibang ISP dito sa Location ko kundi Globe lang, so tiis2 lang muna kami.

Putek ito siguro dahila kung bakit napaka baba na ng DL speed ko . dati 3mbps stable lagi . ngaun swerte na kung mag 1mbps . LTE @ Home 3mbps plan subs ako .
