The Battle of the TV Stations

ABS-CBN Broadcasting Corp. filed a case against AGB Nielsen Media Research Philippines for the alleged “systematic, organized and well funded attempt to cheat in the ratings,” the broadcast network’s Web site reported on Friday.

In a statement issued later Friday evening, rival television network GMA expressed concern over the report.

“GMA Network is concerned about the report that the true ratings of the TV programs as reported by AGB can be manipulated,” the GMA Network statement said.

“The accuracy of the ratings of the TV programs is of utmost importance not only to the TV stations but also to the advertisers, ad agencies, and the viewing public,” it added.

“For more than four years now, GMA Network has been complaining to AGB about the highly illogical and unexplainable disparity between the cable and non-cable ratings of GMA’s programs, which do not obtain in respect to ABS-CBN’s programs.

Ang saya! ABS-CBN just opened a can of worms for themselves. Parang hindi na yata nila kaya ang pagiging #2 nila after more than 3 long years of trying really hard: Pinoy Big Brother, Panday, Vietnam Rose, Rounin… and now our beloved (yes, I like the show) Maging Sino Ka Man 2 has been totally wiped out as in total by Marimar. ABS-CBN even killed a bunch of their own fans via Wowowee — and still they are not #1. LOL

well me point ka... pero sa mga maka ABS peace lang ha... alang away d2... its just that instead of viewing quality shows eh mas pinapakita pa nila ung giringan o ung di nila paguunawaan... y don't they just shake hands, kiss and make up d ba? for the sake of the viewers na gusto makapanuod ng maganda at mapayapang shows...

well mostly kapamilya ung pinapanood ko, dami stars, unlike s kapuso un at un lang artista n makikita mo, sa kapamilya dami choices, pro when its comes to anime' kagaya nga ng sinabi ni sikret ok ang kapuso, tska ang ok naman s kapuso ung eat bulaga at SOP kc talagang prang pang concert unlike s kapamilya ung asap more on sayawan, pro for me mas matimbang ang kapamilya, kc pag-uwi ko s haus mas pinapanood ko ung primetime bida nla.
