EASY WAY of Rooting JB a888 out of the box:

"BACKUP FIRST"
This is not for the faint
of heart. Failure in any step, may give you a bricked device. If you are
not sure about what steps to take and need more help/advice, comment
first and the dev team will be ready to assist and help. Your warranty
may be voided by doing this process. You have been warned.
DISCLAIMER:
We will not be held responsible for any damage to your device as a
result of a wrong turn during the process. This post is meant for those
who have the guts, who are willing to learn, and those who are
experienced in handling android devices and files.You will need the following:
1. SP Flash Tool - http://www.mediafire.com/?ni5l824gumfe5x1
2. CWM Recovery for A888 - https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B2RAIi_PN-SldWdGRUV5ZHViUVE/edit?pli=1
3. A888 Scatter file - http://www.4shared.com/office/9QRWl6vS/MT6577_Android_scatter_emmc.html
Make sure you have adb/device drivers installed for your A818g/a888. If not here's the link to the DRIVERS:
First you need to download and install all drivers needed to detect your device
before we start.
DRIVERS
VCOM- http://www.4shared.com/zip/UD9NREr0/VCOM.html

GARMIN USB DRIVER- http://www8.garmin.com/support/download_details.jsp?id=591
instructions: Download all files above and install to your PC
After finished installing all drivers lets proceed to tutorials..
STEPS: read carefully...not once but twice
1. READ the warning from this post again
2. Extract the SP flash tool to one folder
3. Download the JB a888 Recovery and A888 Scatter file then go to step 4
4. Open SP Flash Tool Folder then open the application (Flash_tool.exe)
5. Click the "Scatter-loading" button near the right side of the SP Flash Tool window.
6. In the following dialog box, browse to the folder of the recovery file and scatter file, choose the scatter file and click open.
7. Make sure that ONLY the box for RECOVERY has a check and click the RECOVERY then locate and load the CWMrecovery to the sp flash tool
8. Once everything is set, your phone should be off at this point.
9. Take a deep breath, PRAY, and hope that everything will be fine.
10. Click "Download" at the top toolbar of sp flash tools
11. Choose "YES" in the next dialog box12. Plug in your phone.
13. If flashing is successful, a small window with a GREEN CIRCLE will pop up saying "download ok"
14. You may now disconnect your device
15.Go to recovery mode by pressing and hold VOL UP, along with the POWER button for at least 5 seconds.
16. The device will give you 2 choices, recovery mode and factory mode. Just press Vol+ to go to recovery.
17. Go to CWM, then flash A818g/a888 Rooting.zip
18. Reboot, after that "CHARAN! CONGRATS! you are rooted now!
AFTER CHANGING CWM thru SPFT
install / flash A888 JB Rooting UPDATE

then REBOOT
AGAIN,
this is a risky process so be careful and if you are not sure about
using such tools, maybe some devs will be willing to help personally.

Required : SD card (minimum size 30mb free)
INSTRUCTION:
[*] Download the File ".zip"
[*] Copy the .zip to SDcard
[*] boot into your CWM/TWRP Recovery
[*] wipe data / factory reset
[*] Install .zip from SDcard > ScavengerV3Sec.zip
[*] Done
TROUBLE SHOOTING pLAYSTORE:
1 clear data on app >settings>app>playstore
2 reboot
3 restrore google play services on TBpro not Google Play Store app
"Happy Flashing"Declaimeront ask for whats not in the ROM, or do it yourself...I am going back to work next week so I would no longer have time for this, V4 android 4.1.2 is now for personal use only. You can mod the apps or do anything with this ROM. I was able to learn this porting in one week hope everyone can do some reading as well. Start using Titanium and Root explorer to learn more...

Note:
Don't try to use auto brightness in Settings>Display>AutoBrightness to avoid disappearing AutoBrightness shortcut in notification pull down...
