Hello everyone,

Ilang araw na ako nag hahanap ng working root for Galaxy J500h, unfortunately napakahirap humanap nang working, kaya ng maka-kita ako post ko na dito para na din sa future reference ko at para din sa ibang naghahanap tulad ko.

HOW TO ROOT YOUR SAMSUNG GALAXY J5 2015
First of all, unlock the bootloader on your Samsung Galaxy J5
To Unlock Bootloader: First of all, you need to Go to Settings -> About Phone -> and Tap 7-8 times on the build number – you will get the developer option
Now Go to Developer option in the settings – Enable USB Debugging and Tick OEM Unlock to Unlock the bootloader
Check your About Phone in settings and note your model number :
Select the device and download the CF Auto Root for your model number from the below list

Extract the CF Root in your computer
Switch off your phone Reboot your device into Bootloader / Download mode by pressing Volume Down, Home and Power Button simultaneously.
Connect your phone to PC using the USB Cable
Install Samsung Kies and Samsung Driver in case if you didn’t
Open the extracted CF Auto Root Folder and Open Odin file using administrator, You will see the window like this
If your device is connected properly, you will see the ID:COM which will turn blue. If it doesn’t show then make sure you have installed the drivers properly
Now Click AP in your ODIN window and Look for the folder that you extracted and select the .tar.md5 file.
Click the Start Button to start installing the CF Auto Root
Once you see the PASS Green Signal, Your device will reboot automatically.
And your device will be ready once reboot is done! Enjoy !
To verify, Go to Google Play and download the Root Checker app to check the root status. If root checker app says root access available then Enjoy you have root on your Samsung Galaxy

Problems encountered and possible solutions:

1) After roorting can not open the recovery mode:
Possible resason: The Firmware you flash is not compatible to your device, i.e you flash J500F instead of J500H

Solution: Remove your TWRP by recovery .img file, or flashing using your firmware for your device, you can find detailed instructions here (CTTO): https://www.hardreset.info/devices/samsung/samsung-j500f-galaxy-j5/faq/firmware-flash/

When your device is already in stock rom then repeat rooting at the your exact device firmware.
