French operator SFR says Xperia S JB update landing in May

SFR, the French telecommunications operator, has published a timetable detailing when software upgrades for Android and Windows Phone handsets are expected to arrive. Interestingly, under the Sony segment, SFR says that the Xperia S Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean is expected in May 2013.

What we don’t know is whether SFR has any inside track on launch dates or whether it is making forecasts on publicly available information. However, given its status as a carrier, we would expect them to at least have an idea on when to expect it. In the same table, it says that the Xperia go JB update will land during April, whilst the Xperia T update is out now, as we all know already.

we should have received the update either late March or early April

------------------------------------

@jocamata
around 1.6 - 1.7 ghz pwede
a little warning though, mas mabilis ang battery drain at minsan nago-over heat ang phone that requires a hard restart (hold volume up and power button until it reboots). wala namang mawawala but you need to cool down your phone first bago mo paandarin.
good luck experimenting

edit:

nasubukan ko yung Sony Bluetooth Wireless Mobile Speaker SRS-BTV5 with my Xperia S

^mas kapani paniwala pa rin si doomlord. hehe! tsaka sabi nila carrier daw yan kaya mas late ang release. mas mauuna daw pag unbranded or di naka tie up sa carrier ang xperia s mo. tsaka may mas bagong article sa xperiablog. hehe!

Re: Sony Xperia S (Nozomi, Arc HD, LT26i) Official Thread [ICS 07/27/12]

Installed ViPER4Android (V4A) Audio Effects, ang lupet ng dynamic bass!!! recommended using headphone for best bass experience!

Xperia S Jelly Bean update will land from the end of May; same for Xperia ion, acro S and SL

Sony Mobile has just confirmed that the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update for the Xperia S, Xperia SL, Xperia ion and Xperia acro S will commence from the end of May.

The delay doesn’t surprise us given the tweet sent about by Sony Mobile last week. However, given recent rumours pointing to an imminent release, the news news is likely to disappoint many.

Whilst we’d much prefer to wait for a bug-free update than for the company to rush out the update, the perception this delay sends out on Sony’s update policy will only cause harm. All owners can hope for now is that when the update does eventually come it has been treated with the extra polish that the owners deserve.

end of May?! :slap::upset:

Re: Sony Xperia S (Nozomi, Arc HD, LT26i) Official Thread [ICS 07/27/12]

malaki improvement from v.55
performance is way smoother and battery life is better. halos wala ng lag
sana mas maganda ang lalabas na version 6.2.B.0.200 after 2 weeks. di raw gumagana or may bugs yung power saving mode.

P.S.: We're back

tagal ng JB update :madslap:

end of May daw eh... sana next week na yun... at hindi end of May 2014

what can you suggest ? eto o xperia V? more on design ako and features ayoko kasi sa XV yung onscreen button nakaen ang 4.3inches pero anu sa tingin nyo? walang byass comment?

Xperia V po lamang sa lahat ng specs. better screen, better cpu, gpu, expandable storage, water and dust resistant... not to mention, it's already updated to Jellybean 4.1.2.

yes. I've reached +1.7ghz before. pero it's not advisable to overclock at that frequency. masyado mabilis ang battery drain at mas mabilis mag-init pag ginagamit. siguro around +1.5ghz - 1.6ghz pwede na.
