Re: Sony Xperia S (Nozomi, Arc HD, LT26i) Official Thread [ICS 06/25/12]
1. any one of those links work. mirror lang naman yung iba eh. pili ka lang kung Germany or Switzerland version. Switzerland yung sakin pero sabi ng iba mas mabilis daw ang German. any of the two will work.
2. yes. ma-lag ang ICS but it's way better than the GB version. the update is well worth it.
3. no need to backup your firmware. may mga link ako ng lumang firmwares (63, 67, 73, 75 & 76) sa first page. pag ayaw mo ng ICS, reflash mo na lang yun gamit din ang flashtool.
4. rooting depends upon your needs. kung gumagamit ka ng VPN, kelangan ng root. overclock/undervolt needs root access too. flashing add-ons, mods and ROMs require na rooted ka. pero kung typical user ka lang naman with games, calls, texts, browsing, photography and document editing, no need to root.
