Rooting Sony phones doesn't seem to void their warranty...
Pero pag nag unlock ka ng bootloader, yun ang nakaka-void

nauna pa yung ZL sa atin
balak kong bumili nito kaso meron daw itong crack screen issue. madali daw mag-crack ung sa ilalim ng first layer ng screen so hindi n gagana yung touch

Nagsearch ako andami ngang screen crack issue. Sana naman wag mangyari sakin to after 2months. Pero ang alam ko yung mga nagpopost nun c6602 ang model ng phone.
Nagbasa po ako sir. Hindi po sa pagkakadrop nanggagaling yung crack. Sa loob po. Sa init. Kaya pagnagchacharge ako binubuksan ko yung takip sa headset para sumingaw yung init. Yung iba kasi di nila nababagsak, nasa bulsa lang nila pero pagtingin daw nila may crack na sa loob ng screen yung iba naman naiiwan sa pagkakacharge kaya naiinit at nagkakacrack DAW sa ilalim ng screen. Kung iisipin pwede talagang mangyari yun dahil masyadong kulong ang xz tapos ang bilis pa uminit lalo kung nasa mainit na lugar ka. Baka yung advantage nya bilang water resistant ay maging disadvantage pa dahil sa masyadong kulob ang phone. Yun lang po. At di daw agad nangyayari yun. Kadalasan 2months pagkabili ng phone. Pwedeng nasa paggamit lang nila yun. Pero hanggat maaari INGATAN MO talaga yung xz pag bumili ka.

naku! internal pala ang cause nyang sinasabi mo... sobrang init pa naman ng XZ lalo na pag gamit mo mobile data... video call using hangouts, tindi ng init nya.
di talaga sya pwedeng iwanan overnight na naka-charge
Ang alam ko kasi ang z may dalawang model. C6603 na may lte at C6602 na walang lte. At ang alam ko c6602 yung mga nagrereklamo tungkol sa crack ng screen nila. Malamang lahat naman ng nagamit ng z dito mga naka c6603 na model. Sana di mangyari satin to mga kap. Pinagpalit ko lumia 820 ko para dito at nagdagdag pako ng cash. Wag naman po sana. Mga sir bago lang po akong user ng xz at android na os. Sana marami po ako matutunan dito. Pahingi naman po payo tungkol sa apps at games mga kap. Salamat po

downloading ngayon and will flash with flashtool later.
on a side note: mukhang mas natagalan ngayon ang update compared to the Xperia S last year. June 21 lumabas ang ICS update compared to June 24 ng Xperia Z. Let's just hope that the adjustment Sony is currently doing now with their phones improve this instead of getting this worse.

mukhang may bagong version (9.11.0) ng flashtool. ayaw na gumana ng beta 9.10.2 sa pag-flash ng bagong firmware sa XZ
edit: will do a full wipe para simula ulit. para kita ang improvement over the previous builds
may root na rin with doomlord's easyroot toolkit v15... setup ko lang ulit mga apps... root later... then try to get CWM pushed again... will post detailed procedure later
note: {developer options} is hidden initially. to enable, punta ka sa settings > about phone > Build Number <-- tap build number until message that you are already a developer has popped out.

kelangan ang latest version of flashtool to work with our latest device and firmware. download here http://androxyde.github.io/
follow the usual procedure. pero take note to exclude "Partition" para hindi mabura ang contents ng sdcard mo. also, may option ka to clear "Data" para sa malinis na installation, or retain (uncheck Data) it for just an upgrade to your current setup.
