magkano kaya ung ganitong Merida?

pero medyo makakamura ka
makakamura...not! backread ka konti sir, nadiscuss na din yan a few pages back (budget ng built bike VS "assemble") :salute:

is there wrong sa "china" made? even those high end brand ay meron ding "made in china"
indeed. China made is fine. Even knock-off frames are great, regarding their prices.

New po ako dito, ask ko lang po kung mag kanu na ngayun ung frame ng specialized kung may nka alam. at mindanao area po ako downhill biker po ako. enjoy pg downhell hehehe.
Depende sa model sir. You need to be more specific. ;)

that topic/list is very broad to discus sir.

eto po quick help to get you started.

pwedeng pwede yan sir. I believe medyo lo-end frame yan sir, standard headset size, V-brake provisions, built-in seat collar. But yes, pwedeng pwede po yan irepaint and pwedeng pwede mo pa sya gamitin as a base frame!

@siir hakz. Yes sir lo-end na nga to. Tska mejo matagal na din to. Question lang po pwede din ko bang i cutomize to? Upgrade some parts? Thanks po ulit !

you can upgrade ONLY to what your frame supports, but to answer your question directly, yes! of course pwedeng pwede mo sya i customize or upgrade ng parts ;)

View attachment 922239

eto kayang kona coilair sir ok kaya pang DH?
View attachment 922241

SGM Elite is a XC Bike NOT DOWNHILL. Fake Kona coilair is a xc frame not downhill. Original kona coilair is a am or all mountain (paki correct na lang me dito) bike.

i think yung shimano st at sl ay pang road na. yung picture na pinakita mo ay pang mtb categories.

suntour is a brand, what kind of suspension fork are you referring to? imo, suntour forks are bang for the back and sa mga kakilala kong gumagamit ng forks nila, ni isa walang negative feedback.

I see, nagpaplano kasi ako bumuo ng bike, and i dont know how really hardcore dh is, pinang dh ko kasi yun xc merida ko, kaya lang delikado at kawawa yun bike ko. may worth 20k ba na Dh frame?

ok salamat, nagtingin kasi ako ng entry level bike sa range ng 11-17k and almost lahat sila uses suntour fork, tapos marami ako nabasang negative review.
any thank you sa feedback..:)

tama si boss asurabp, both frames are XC, although FullSus sila.

Regarding sa DH frame, depende how hardcore your DH usage is. Start from a decent DH frame and DH/Triple Crown Forks, then upgrade from there.

Personally using a Suntour XCR, and i love it. :)

Marami nabasa na negative review? You can't compare a suntour fork to high end forks simply they're both forks. Their prices are different, and that's how you compare things. prices.

anong negative review naman nababasa mo? mostly sasabihin lang naman nila ay mabigat which is some are true. pag sinabi nilang madaling masira, eh baka mali ang pag gamit nila.

Good point, mukhang suntour ung budget friendly with good performance fork..karamihan kasi kapag mura tingin nila pangit na agad..

indeed. you get what you pay for. Suntour forks are the best budget-friendly forks around. Not to mention their Epicon model is great (if not best) bang-for-the-buck fork for 75trail/25road, mid-level budget. Di lang kaya ng budget ko yung epicon and since I'm on a 10/90 Trail/Road usage, and at around 2,600php XCR is the way to go. :)

neopimp6666 - nag search ako sa net about shimano ST at SL, it seems it's just the specific product code ng mga parts nila, and it doesn't necessarily mean that ST or SL is for road or xc. Searching at google images, ST models look like they're roadie and xc brake levers. SL naman is for clips and/or shifters.

bottom line, ST and SL doesn't matter. Hindi sya product line, as you've pointed out dun sa post mo na picture list. (Tourney, Acera, Deore, etc)
