sinunod ko naman ng maaus yung mga procdures pero pagdating don sa pag open ng e220.bin na sinave ko, hndi makita kpag inopen sa hex editor!

Di ko kasi makita yung model ng USB ko sa list ng mga online and instant unlockers. Pano ko po sha maa-unlock ng instant? Mashado kasing complicated yung "flash.. firmware.." stuff eh. Please help.

And one more thing, pede bang gamitan ng SUN PREPAID SIM ang SUN BROADBAND WIRELESS (Postpaid) na MODEM? Or kelangan SBW Sim din ang ilagay ko dun?

I tried SUN PREPAID SIM sa SBW Modem ko, pero di makaconnect. Sabi "remote computer cannot be established so the port blah was closed."

Anong problema kaya?

NOW MY PROBLEM IS SOLVED!!

Thanks to SeeJay of seejay.net for this very easy-to-follow tutorial.

FOR Huawei E220 Modem owners, do the following procedures to unlock your modem.

1. First, download the following tools. (Click the ff. to download or check out the attached files at the bottom of this post.)
* e220 CardLock UnLocker
* e220 Updater version 11.117.09.04.00
* QC Mobile Analysis Tool
* Hex editor

2. Second, plug your modem to the computer and run the E220 Updater.
Wait 'til it detects your modem and then press "Cancel" when "Start Update" shows.
Yeppp. You have to cancel it.

Note: Make sure that no other usb is connected to your computer. Cause the E220 Updater won't be able to detect your HUAWEI modem.

3. Next, open the QC BQS Analyzer and click on Hardware forensics menu, select Use Com/USB Port.

4. Now the "QC Com Diag" window should pop up.
Most of the time your modem and com port is automatically selected on the Serial Com port drop down list.
If not, you'll have to select it manually.
Then click on the "Send Cmd" button and wait till the message "Successfully sent command" appears on the bottom right.

5. Now Select "Read EFS" from the Diag Functions drop down menu and Click the "Lets go" button.
When it asks, enter the file name e220.bin and save it.
A message saying "Successfully read EFS" should appear.

6. Do some hex reading Open the e220.bin file from your Hex Editor.
Search for the ASCII string Sd, (including the comma) or Search for the for the Hex string 53 64 2c

In line with these strings, you'll be able to notice an 8-digit code at the right side (just near Sd).
And you know what? That's the unlock code for our E220 Modem! Yipeeee!

Once you've found the unlock code, enter it on the CardLock Unlock utility and click "OK"
And your modem is finally UNLOCKED!
