Sir my prob is d namin kilala network admin namin. Nasa head office kc cla and they wont allow us to access it at home.
I created this thread for different network setup. Post nyo lang po L.A.N. scenario.
For example:
1. modem->router->switch
2. modem->router->router->switch
3. 3g router->wireless lan->lan card->router->wireless lan->lan card->switch->lan card
Pagtulungan po natin, i'll do my best to help po pag may time. Lahat po tayo magtutulungan dito sa thread na ito...
Patulong naman mga experts. I was given a new modem-router-wifi (Baudtec RN243R3-2T2R-A6) combo from PLDT and I have a Linksys wireless router WRT54G V7. The modem-router combo has a lame wifi range so I want to use my old Linksys router to have a better wifi signal. I searched a lot of topics online and they are pretty straight forward but for some reason the Linksys router is not transmitting the internet connection.
Here's what I have tried so far with no luck:
1.) Lan-Lan connection
- Pldt modem-router set to a default ip of 192.168.1.1 and Linksys at 192.168.1.2
- Pldt modem-router DHCP at 192.168.1.3-192.168.1.33 and Linksys' DHCP set to DISABLED
- Linksys advance routing set to ROUTER but nothing, set to GATEWAY also nothing
- Pldt modem-router lan port to Linksys lan port
- wifi ssid and password are the same but runs on different channel. I tried running it on the same channel but there's no net connection.
2.) Lan-Wan connection
- Pldt modem-router set to a default ip of 192.168.1.1 and Linksys at 192.168.2.1
- Pldt modem-router DHCP at 192.168.1.3-192.168.1.33 and Linksys' DHCP set to ENABLED but starts at 192.168.2.100 to 192.168.2.150
- Linksys advance routing set to ROUTER but no connection, set to GATEWAY also no connection
- Pldt modem-router lan port to Linksys WAN port
- wifi ssid, password and channel are the same on both devices but no connection. Even changing to different channels doesn't work.
Both configuration can be seen by a mobile device such as a mobile phone and can be connected to as well but there's simply no connection going to the Linksys router. I have used different cables and tried hard resetting them but still no luck.
May idea ba kayo what I'm missing? Since the modem-router combo is not in bridged mode, it shouldn't matter right since the DHCP server is turned Off in the Linksys so no conflict na dapat right?
help po pano po maginstall ng 2nd wifi to wide the signal but i want to do it wireless connection of two routers. pano po ang set up?
Panu po gagawing bridge yung pangalwang wifi. sorry noob here. please explain further.
