To tread Starter,

According to other sites the DX prefix is intended for Philipines use. Nagtataka lang ako bakit pati yung for other countries nakalagay. Nakakalito eh.... :slap:

And question lang po latest po ba itong firmware ko ====> DXLB1

FYI lang po

My officemate just updated his galaxy Y via Kies and it shows that DXLC1 is the latest official ROM for SAMSUNG Galaxy Y for Philippines.

Currently downloading DXLC1

DX ay para sa region natin.. pero pwede mo ding gamitin yung DD kasi asia din naman yun.. kaya nga lang walang philippines sa Language settings pero same pa din naman ang experience ng paggamit.

Pero question lang kung pwede din gamitin yung DDLE1, ano ang mas-updated? DDLE1 o DXLC1? O parehas lang sila?

san ko po ba makikita yung totoro? wala kasi sa DXLC1 na folder eh. :noidea: pati yung ilalagay sa bootloader sa ba makakakita nun?

Hi TS, sorry for this newbie question. anu po ba difference ng rooting sa flashing. kpag gnamit ko po ba itong tutorial mo about flashing galaxy y via odin ay nka root n dn po ang cp ko? thanks :)

"Step by step tutorial in rooting your Galaxy Y (Young) by MrGambit

Credits to vincent_smoox of xda

TRY IT AT YOUR OWN RISK.

1. Download needed file (update.zip)(see attachment below)
2. Copy ZIP file to the root of your SD-card
3. Turn off your phone
4. Switch ON your device in the recovery Mode
(hold power, volume up, home button together).
5. Select update from SD Card option. (yung volume keys gamitin pang select)
6. You will see that the list of files will come from which you will have to select the file which is named as Update.zip
7. Wait a few minutes
8. And…..voila!! Your Galaxy Y S5360 is now rooted"

Sir mali ka .. flash mo muna ng tutorial un sgy mo before mo ka mag root .. kasi pag niroot at fnlash mo mabubura un root mo ..
