Naamazed ako dun sa mga tutorial mo..hehe itatry ko pa lang naman pero me idea na ako..

Question po. Pwede ko ba gamitin ito pangbandwidth control. Halimbawa me 10 user ako gusto ko ibaiba sila ng bandwidth speed po.

Dito kasi sa office talamak ang download hindi ko macontrol ang bandwidth..Pwede po ba ito sa pfsense gawin?

Pwede din po ba dun sa captive portal once na nkalogin na sya dun sa user at password mareremember na nya no need to login ulit po.

Sir pwde din patutorial ng voucher type po sa captive portal.

Hi.

Pano po iallow ang skype sa pfsense?

nag tatraffic po kase. every 5-10mins sya nag rerefresh or nawawala yung internet access nya. pero yung mga browser naman eh di nawawalan ng net.

Official packages lang po ang gamit ko sa setup ko kaya yun lang din ang makikita nyo sa guides ko (no Lusca)

pwede po kayo mag ask or mag comment sa blog post ko mismo or dito.. pero di ko po sure if masasagot at alam ko ang lahat.. newbie lang din po ako...

pwede po mag contribute ng ideas and other helpful materials ang lahat..

about my set up : basic firewalling and routing + web content filtering / blocking + captive portal lang po ang gamit ko kay pfSense sa ngayon.. NO CACHING po. sorry .


ISP > globe modem > pfSense > switch > clients PCs


My pfSense specs:

CPU - Pentium4 3.0Ghz
Board - Old Gigabyte socket775
RAM - 4Gig DDR2 (2x2G)
HDD - Seagate 160G SATA
NIC - 2 Intel Pro/100+

2. after installing pfsense, you need to Configure pfSense via WEB GUI

NEXT guide po ay HOW TO SET UP CAPTIVE PORTAL ... gumamit po ako ng WindowsServer Active Directory dito... bago magkarun ng internet connection, need muna nila mag log sa portal using their AD credentials.... so basically mag rereflect sa GUI logs ang username nila and IP.. plus tandem ng SQUID+SQUIDGUARD = no escape.. i mean pag nag open sila ng badsites like Pornsites, huli na agad if sino, anong station, anong oras at anong sites ang inopen .. abangan nyo po if interested kayo

pwede nyo po install sa virtual box lang muna para ma try and test ninyo...

sa virtual pfsense nyo po... dalawang NIC dapat ang i-enable... set NIC1 to Bridge.. set NIC2 to Internal Network...

sa virtual windows/linux pc nyo po... isang NIC lang, then set the network to Internal Network...

(ganyan po ang network seetings ko, try nyo lang din )

after ko iclick yung next View attachment 295584

nawalan nako internet pano gagawin ko? para bumalik internet ko?
paulit ulit ako dito e salamat sa makakatulong

TS bakit need dalawa LAN?Install ko nlng sa vmware.
After mainstall ba fpsense hindi naman need na lage nakaopen kung san mo nakainstall diba?
-- Anung version mas maganda? fpsense v2.2.4
-- Ngayon kasi ang setup namin ( ISP>>Modem>>Switch/Router>>Client. )
-- Right now im using laptop then install ko lang virtual it is possible?

I have a question po, gusto ko subukan i install to sa shop ko na diskless , kaya lang yung sa ip address nung mga client halimbawa yung server ko ngayon 192.168.1.250 tapos ip address ng mga client ko, 192.168.1.1 up to 192.168.1.15, may babaguhin b ako sa ip ng wan at lan? o hahayaan ko nalang kung ano ibibigay ng pfsense? salamat. baka kasi hindi mag boot c client ko pag ng kaproblema sa IP? thanks a lot po..

Isang LAN lang po pwede naman. Depende po sa needs nyo. 1WAN and 1LAN ang pinaka basic and required.

Need polagi naka open lagi ang pfsense machine , panu po gagana pfsense kung naka patay?

As for me, kung ano ung version na stable n natry ko dun lang ako, try ko rin ang latest, pag stable at wala nmn problema, stick na sa latest.

ISP > Modem > pfSense > Switch > Client

Yes possible na i virtual pero di ko recommend if Office/Production setup yan...and if virtual may extra efforts ka pa sa pag configure ng Networks since malamang isang NIC lang meron sa laptop mo

Try nyo po.

make sure na kaya mo ibalik ang config ng Diskless mo ng server at clients pag i try mo si pfsense, para pag may prob, maibabalik mo rin sa dati.

Pwedeng hayaan nyo lang po si WAN,madalas auto lang yun from your ISP. and default IP nmn ni pfsense LAN is 192.168.1.1 .. so sa scenario mo mukang swak nmn kasi naka 192.168.1.* na network mo.. malamang naka Static yang server mo , pwede mo rin i static ang clients mo and if i dhcp mo nmn okay lang din.

Opinion ko lang po yan sir ha.. try nyo po at your own risk

tol superuser...ask ko lang kung tama ? about diskless + psfense setup

yung ccboot kasi need niya na siya lang ang nakaON na DHCP at dapat naka off ang router at pfsense, so sa pag setup yun ccboot ang mamimigay ng ip sa mga clients, at ang gateway at dns naman ay yung pfsense ang magproprovide...

so ang ip ng pfsense ko ay 192.168.1.1 tapos ang ip ng CCBoot server na mamimigay ng ip sa clients ay 192.168.1.10 so magstart ang ip nga clients sa 192.168.1.100 to 254 ...ask ko lang di naman siguro magcoconflict yun ip kung sa iisang address lang sila no?

saka okie lang ba yan ganyan setup ng ip kasi yun server ip ng ibang nagsesetup depende eh minsan sa dulo sila nag seserver ip 192.168.1.250 ...

Pano po mag firewall block ng all sites, tapos mag white list ng selective sites lang? and pano mag block ng ultrasurf at tor?

Current setup:

Pfsense 2.3.2-RELEASE (amd64) : as Firewall,
==> package installed : snort, pf blocker, squid, squid guard, light squid, at ntop
==> Single (Lan) and Single (Wan)
==> Single Subnet
==> Squid : non transparent
==> Squidguard : shallalist, ACL: acl_limited, target categories: mail.yahoo.com yahoo.com gmail.com google.com

Firewall :

1. lan_access (no internet)
==> Alias: host
==> Rule: block, lan, any, host
2. blk_SN (no access to Social Network)
==> Alias: network CIDR
==> Rule: block, lan, any, host
3. lim_access (limited access, Email only)
==> Alias: ______
==> Rule: ______
4. ful_access (full access)
==> Alias: pass
==> Rule: block, lan, any, host

You should do this if you are sharing your Internet connection (WiFi) to the Public/Neighbors. >>>>Limit Download and Upload speed using pfSense
