sir pa help naman po ko regarding pfsense ko.. newbie lang po kasi ko dito, nainstall ko na po xa and may access na po ako sa pfsense GUI kaso wala po xang internet.. may dns issue parin ata sya kahit sinunod ko na ung procedure ng pag se-set sa kanya.. sana matulungan nyo po ko.. Thanks in advance po!

may web version po... at youtube video version...

Official packages lang po ang gamit ko sa setup ko kaya yun lang din ang makikita nyo sa guides ko (no Lusca)

pwede po kayo mag ask or mag comment sa blog post ko mismo or dito.. pero di ko po sure if masasagot at alam ko ang lahat.. newbie lang din po ako...

about my set up : basic firewalling and routing + web content filtering / blocking + captive portal lang po ang gamit ko kay pfSense sa ngayon.. NO CACHING po. sorry .


ISP > globe modem > pfSense > switch > clients PCs


My pfSense specs:

CPU - Pentium4 3.0Ghz
Board - Old Gigabyte socket775
RAM - 4Gig DDR2 (2x2G)
HDD - Seagate 160G SATA
NIC - 2 Intel Pro/100+

NEXT guide po ay HOW TO SET UP CAPTIVE PORTAL ... gumamit po ako ng WindowsServer Active Directory dito... bago magkarun ng internet connection, need muna nila mag log sa portal using their AD credentials.... so basically mag rereflect sa GUI logs ang username nila and IP.. plus tandem ng SQUID+SQUIDGUARD = no escape.. i mean pag nag open sila ng badsites like Pornsites, huli na agad if sino, anong station, anong oras at anong sites ang inopen .. abangan nyo po if interested kayo

pwede nyo po install sa virtual box lang muna para ma try and test ninyo...

sa virtual pfsense nyo po... dalawang NIC dapat ang i-enable... set NIC1 to Bridge.. set NIC2 to Internal Network...

sa virtual windows/linux pc nyo po... isang NIC lang, then set the network to Internal Network...

(ganyan po ang network seetings ko, try nyo lang din )

Hi po sir TS, ask ko lang po regarding sa squid+squidguard, naiset ko na po sir yung configuration ng squid ang prob ko po sir is di na bablock yung FB, nag try naman po ako gamit ang alias then rules sa firewall same issue pa din po sir ayaw ma block ang FB..nilagay ko na din lahat ng IP's ng FB ganun pa din po ayaw talaga mablock, ask ko sana sir ano kaya ang kulang ko? thanks po anf God Bless..

gud day TS (iamsuperuser) ask lang po plan to use 2 isp(pldt and globe)ok lang po ba na gamitin ang hub na Apresia2024g(see attached pic)ganyan po kc ang hub ko now at naka pfsense na po ako pero single isp lang, add ko po sana ang newly installed ko na globe(LTE)View attachment 318183

Sir I'm building a personal pc only and I plan na lagyan ng pfsense yong pc kc may limit plan ng internet ko, gusto sana kapag naplay ko na yong youtube or lahat ng vid ma ma stream ay masave na sa pc ko. posible ba ito sa single pc? or may mas maganda pa po gamitin kasi di naman ko maglalagay ng other pc.

boss patulong naman. di ko kasi mainstall ung PFsense sa Old Desktop computer ko. ano po kaya issue nan?

tanong ko lang po paano configure ang captive portal using wifi modem, ang wifi modem ko po nakasaksak sa switch hub thru internet port ng router. Tanong ko lang po sana paano ang config ng wireless router at kapag enable ang captive portal ano po gamiting interface? lan or wan? salamat po, sana po may makatulong..
