1. This is the most simple method. First you should install Ubuntu Tweak. Open the terminal and type

2. Right click your Menu bar and select Edit Menus> find the Ubuntu Tweak entry> highlight it and click Properties> change its Command to:

3. Then access it through Applications → System Tools → Ubuntu Tweak
4. When Ubuntu tweak opens go to login settings and click unlock and enter your password

5. Click the button to change the login background
6. Restart GDM and Presto! To restart open the Terminal and type

ahhmmm ung dinownload ko po ay may isang backgroung image 6 na icon at merong GdmGreeterTheme.desktop at greeter.xml saan ko po yun ilalagay iisa lang ung icon pic eh saka para saan un?

di ko sya mapagana, wallpaper lang ung naiba nung nag login ako....

p.s. ung polymouth working po sya salamat...kaso sa shutdown or restart lang po gumagana, kapag nag boot isang cursor na nag bliblink lang po ung lumalabas... paano po aayusin un??

mga bossing ngaun ko lang po nalaman na may active community dito sa symbianize na mga ubuntu users... kakainstall ko lang ng ubuntu at mejo explore explore lang ako dito. so far nagugustuhan ko pa, mas mabilis na magboot ang netbook ko pati shutdown walang panama ang win7 ang bilis. Meron po ba kau jang good reading material para sa extensive ubuntu learning? samalamt po ng marami

Hi Friend,

Yup, startup and shutdown lang naman talaga gumagana ang Plymouth (Splash) Screen. Yan ang "Loading Screen" gaya ng request mo. Normal lang yan na sometimes black screen lang na nag-blink instead of yung Plymouth Theme. Try pressing the "Esc" button tuwing nangyayari yun to switch between viewing the Plymouth or viewing the command line.

Welcome to the thread! Glad to know you're enjoying Ubuntu.

Napakaraming extensive reading materials para sa Ubuntu as well as Linux in general. However, based sa karamihan ng mga nababasa ko, ang recommendation nila is NOT to download an eBook or manual. Sa mundo kasi ng Linux, laging may bagong development na nangyayari so mabilis ma-outdate ang libro. Mabilis kasi mag-update ang mga Linux-based na OS. For example, ang Ubuntu every 6 months regular may bagong release. Halimbawa, ang latest is Ubuntu 10.10 (released October 2010) pero may parating na ulit which is Ubuntu 11.04 (April 2011) kasi nga every 6 months may bago.

Ang recommendation is to participate in forums and a lot of online material. Here are some of my personal suggestions:

At siyempre ang thread natin. Kakaiba ang thread natin compared sa karamihan ng thread dito sa Symbianize. Mapapansin mo kapag pumunta ka sa Page 1 ng thread natin...naka-link lahat ng sharing, tutorial, tips and tricks, etc. para yung mga visitors ang new readers hindi mahihirapang mag-backread. Tapos naka-categorize pa siya by topic.

Hi Friend,

I want to make sure I understand your question...ano ang gusto mong baguhin:

1. Yung Login screen where you select the username and then type the password, a.k.a. GDM (Gnome Desktop Manager)? Or...
2. Yung Plymouth Theme a.k.a. opening splash (kung saan ang default na splash ay yung Ubuntu Logo na may purple background tapos may orange dots na parang "loading")?

Kung #1: The easy way is to use Ubuntu Tweak (pero I use the manual way which is may tina-type ako via the Terminal). Alin sa #1 ang gusto mong baguhin? Yung background? Yung appearance ng login screen? Or both? Note: you may need to download customized login screens first. You may want to visit www.gnome-look.org, marami dun.

Kung #2: Visit ka lang sa Page 1 and look for the tutorial on "How to Change the Default Plymouth Theme". Just follow the instructions there. Note: you may need to download customized Plymouth Themes first. You may want to visit www.gnome-look.org, marami dun.

try this pre kung gusto mong ichange ung appearance,fonts,theme etc. gamit ang appearance manager ...

copy paste lang to

eto na ..

First open a Terminal window (Applications -> Accessories -> Terminal) then copy+paste the following line:

sudo cp /usr/share/applications/gnome-appearance-properties.desktop /usr/share/gdm/autostart/LoginWindow

Now close the Terminal window and logout, when logged out the Appearance window pops up. Here you can make the changes you want and when your done you can login as usual. To prevent the Appearance Manager from opening when you login, open a Terminal window (Applications -> Accessories -> Terminal) then copy+paste the following line:

sudo unlink /usr/share/gdm/autostart/LoginWindow/gnome-appearance-properties.desktop

Naku wala yata kaming crack/keygen/license para sa Bibble Pro (though you can get Bibble light which is trial).

There are a lot of Linux alternatives to Lightroom (Adobe ito, tama?).

No problem. Ultrasurf? Ano ito, parang proxy/tunnelling? Hindi ko alam eh. Pero may mga proxy/tunnelling applications naman na pang-Linux like The Onion Router (TOR) and Vidalia. https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Tor
